Did the background work. They are linked with National Credit Adjusters. I called with numbers provided by the prior collection agencies and was connected to my case worker in IAG. The number that everyone is stating is a scam is in fact not a scam although their scare tactics are not legal they are legit. And in regards to calling works they can only call once a month and cannot if you tell them not to.

I was too contacted by IAG and did my research. start with your orignal collector then keep going until you cant go any further thats what I did and ended up at National Credit Adjusters who work with IAG it is part of their company. But if you don't believe me just start from the very beginning you will suprised what you find.

I recived a call on Tuesday from a rebecca Haines ststeing that she was from LCI.. she did not give me any information, just a phone number which was 1-888-568-6009. she stated it was a mediation firm handling my case and that she was from a locater service to notify me. She said she wanted to serve me with papers and that if I was to meet up with her I would end up in court over an installement loan i had and didnt pay. I called the # she gave me and they said they were called Consilidated which is a mediation firm and that I could settle out of court for a certain amount. I do not want to go to court, but I am scared that this is legitimate and they could sue. I am going to call the original creditor and see what they tell me.  Should I be concerned or is this a scam?

Its a scam. They told me  the same thing about a loan that i got and has been paid now for over 3 yrs. dont do it they want your money. Ask them for a address to where you can send them the payment they wont give it to you

This company has called me many times. They want me to pay for a supposed debt from 2008. I did have a payday loan years ago but it was paid in full. The name of the payday loan company changes everytime they talk to me. Rebecca is the worst one to deal with. She has threatened to have me put in jail and have my daughter put in foster care. She has threatened to have her agent kick down my door and do whatever it takes to me so they can remove property to pay the debt. They refuse to send proof of the debt. They also love to curse at me whenever I point out that their threats are illegal. They also call my mom and tell her if she doesn't give them her credit card # they will have me put in jail and my daughter put in foster care. I know they legally can't do any of these things to me but I bet they scare lots of people into giving them money. I did get an address out of them. Po Box 1844, Los Angeles CA 90001. I don't know the companies real name since it changes everytime I talk to them

I started recieving calls this week actually and they demanded $627 from me immediately or be served. Unfortunately I am in the process of bankruptcy and informed them of that. I was told that bankruptcy didnt exclude me from paying them and that I would be served either at my place of employment or at home but I would be served and taken to court. As far as who the orginial creditor Check Advance we dont even have a company in my area under that name. I proceeded to contact each check advance company in my area and ask for records of payment and none of them have any information for me and have no idea of who these people are. I agree with every one else on here this is definately scary especially when you are told that they are not responsible for what happens to you when the processor comes to serve you. I guess I should have my gun ready.

scam honey... no worries they cannot do anything to you, but you do need to report them to the DOJ and the FTC they are in violation of collection practices.

Same game different Number. Rebecca Haines called on phone # 573-298-4953 which is a Columbia, MO landline phone number unlisted of course. Gave me a claim number and referred me to another #: 888-521-2153 to request a release order of claim. I didnt call number and later on in the day she tried calling me back 3 times. I didnt answer because they tried this with me once before. My wife got a call from her mother stating that Rebecca called her insisting there was a claim against me. Hope this helps others who are being targeted by these sleazebags.

Yes these people are a MAJOR scam. They have several numbers they called me from a 855-541-675, they said there name was Consolidated Mediation Firm, I was contacted by a Tony Baker, he was nasty and hung up on me when I started asking too many questions. Ha, the nerve of these people. They try and scare you. They called both sets of my grandparents, really anyone that knew me....I had to adv my family that these ppl were a scam and do not give out any info. If you talk to them long enough you will eventually find out that they have no paperwork for you, no fax number no anything, all the bill collectors I know will give you ALL of that. After I refused to pay them they had a local number call me and say she needs my address to serve my papers, they had an old address for me, so I said sure bring them on, and of course never heard anything again.

I received to calls from Consolidated claiming the same harassment and threatneing collection practices to my employer i am glad i saw these claims and i done a little research during the New Years Holiday. And it blow me away but all my questions was answered in the comments of other people. That been scammed out of money like me. I only gave them about $300.00. But they won't get no money and i talked to Mr. Hunter and Joe Medina, Joe is who i got the address from. I am filing a report with BBB today and also will file a law suit after the holidays. I am informing my employer not go give any information, and tell them to stop calling or a law suit will be filed for harassment.....Thanks To You Guys Comments..

Had same exp as above I received called and harrassed me at work threating to serve papers and pursue litigation they would not accept my current info or home address so my husband told them same thing to go ahead and serve papers she was rude and hung up on me they also used this #866-216-4363

Sargent I had the same thing happen to me. It started yesterday they called my job asking for my husband that they had a claim against him and he needed to take care of it before it went to the next step. I asked him what is it for and he said I don't know all. I know is the claim number. He also said he needed to speak to my husband to verify his address and work so he could serve him. I yelled at him an told him to stop calling my job . So today he called my cell and my father n laws cell. I told him I contacted the police and he hung up on me

Unfortunately for these so called "debt collectors" i myself am also one. They are not real but even if they were they have broken nearly ever single FDCPA law in existence. So regardless of whether they are legitimate or not you will never have to pay a dime to the people.  There are clear steps that must be taken to collect any debt in the United States of America and they are not following any of them. Copy the information and be ready for them next time they call.  If you sound like you know what your talking about trust me they will never harrass you again.
