Got the same message from a Mrs Luna. Says it was for an online payday loan for United Cash Online. Didnt bother calling back. Anyone that has to block their phone number when calling isnt worth a call back.

Received a call from Nicole who said she represented United Cash Online.  Accused me of check fraud.  I told her to send me documents in writing and she said she couldn't do that.  Really?  If you owe money legitimately they most definitely can send you documentation in writing.  Threatened guarnishment.  Can't be done without a court order.

Received a call from this number from a Miss Garcia about a wage garnishment yesterday, 2/3/11.  Not the first time that I've received this type of call.  Must be the third or forth call in the last 2 months or so.  It is totally a scam, so please, don't even bother calling them.

Have received several calls leaving this # as a return #.  Most recent was today from a Ms. Santiago stating that she had received a wage garnashment in her office.  Load of crap, no such papers have been filed with my husband's work.

    # 1.  They are required by the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act to provide in writing within 5 days of initial communication validation of the debt.  Without that, they have no recourse.

#2.  Before they can get a garnishment order you must be notified that they are bringing suit against and be given option. This usually comes in the form of a certified letter with a court date listed.  They must have a judgment to garnish wages.

#3.  each state has different laws regarding garnishment

Received call at work today (2/10/11), and for the past few days, from a Ms. Felix at the number listed above 1-877-269-0088. Wage garnishment and debt settlement, with pressure to settle immediately has been occurring. Can't give specifics, but has some information on me. Won't give me info for creditor wanting payment, or info on transaction that took place almost 2 years ago? They are now trying to collect and calling me at work for it.

Someone left a message at my work number on yesterday evening from the following number #877-269-0088. The message that was left sounded like the telephone lines were crossed and two persons were talking but I did manage to hear the telephone number. I was assigned a case worker, Ms. Felix and was told that I took out a loan in 2009 that was never paid and the company was trying to collect but I changed my account number and I they sent me letters thru the mail that I ignored. Ms. Felix also mentioned one of my reference and the last four digits of  my ssn. She said that my wages will be garnished if I don't set-up a settlement plan where the first two payments will be $200.00 and the last payment will be $500.00 or I could do $200.00 for 10 months. With that settlement in place that can stop the garnishment but it has to be with a debit card or a credit card. I am now frightened at this point and I told her that I didn't have any of those cards. She said that I can purchase and I can call her or anyone at the company OR she will call me on tomorrow (2/16/11) with the card number and that will stop the garnishment. She did give me the creditor's name but I have not taken out a loan with the company mentioned. I ask her the amount and all she could say that it maybe between $300.00 to $500.00. What thru me off is that Ms. Felix speaks english because I'm use to getting the phone calls from the foreigners. Is this really a scam, you think?

called and left a message, i was told that i need to contact them in order to stop a wage garinshment, you need to have a court order in place for a wage garnishment to happen plus you need to be notified of the wage order well in advance.
    this is a scam.
no one is allowed to do a wage order in the amount of 29%
    that is insane.
does anyone else get these phone calls?
the calls come up on caller id as unkown or unavailable call.
dont you think that if it was real they would not hide their number

They have been calling me repeatedly for the last week.  Blocked number.  Urgent to speak to me today to stop a garnishment.  First time was a Ms. Gilmore.  Last night's message was from a latino speaking woman who I barely understood.

When you call the number listed, a voice recording for answers saying it's PDLR group.   But, I can't find any information on a PDLR group.

They can't garnish without me being advised of a court date and time and a court order. Only the IRS can garnish without a court order.  And, in some states they can't garnish at all for this type debt.  In new jersey, it can't exceed 25%

They must provide written confirmation of the debt with 5 days of your request.  Without that, their claim is void.

I've been getting these phone calls ever since I applied for a payday loan online, the one that Montel Williams is in the commercial for.  NOT legitimate people calling.  I even contacted the company that advertises to tell them my information was taken from there website.  No response from anyone.  I just decided to watch my caller id and if I don't recognise the number, I dont' answer it and I certainly don't call them back.  They are threatening but can't be stopped.  I have filed cases with the FTC and the Attorney General's office everytime they call, I use the number and the name that they give me.  They are certainly bottom feeders.   I was told that I owed 5 payday loans and needed to pay them at once.  When I asked what companies they were threw, he said he didn't know.  I said I know I didn't take out a payday loan but I would check my records.  He said we only have the amounts you were approved for, not the actual amounts you took out.  OMG these people must be seriously desperate.  I just don't answer the phone or call them back.  Don't know what else to do.  Good luck everyone, we sure need it.
