Right click the task bar to bring up Task Manager then kill the browser. When you restart your browser use the Tools option to clear your cache and browsing history.  You can also use CTRL-ALT-DEL to bring up a menu that lets you chose Task Manager or reboot.

Same here. Called the number and gave them a piece of my mind I’m not so nice words and hung up. Noices in the background sounded like an Indian sweat shop. Immediately got a call back from the same person I talked to but from a different number —855-442-2935 which is now blocked!

On AOL, was able to avoid being "locked" since the pop-up blocker is active on my account. The pop-up is what prevents you from closing the browser window. Caught the link causing this:
    http://159.203.190.210/msg/?c5a7b758ae751d0ft ... 855)%20593-0090#
advertising 855-593-0090. These keep changing URL's but the IP's all come from Digital Ocean. If you can capture the full URL from history, send a complaint to abuse at digitalocean.com with the link. Common IP ranges are 159.203.x.x on all three of these bogus virus warnings advertising phone number.
