877-269-9260

Wanted to know information about my property and had my address. They said that they were Southern California Edison. It sounded like a computer message. The call was on our answering machine when we got home. The call came on a saturday  so I don't think so. I cannot find any information about the number. I checked Southern California Edison's toll free numbers and they are all 800 numbers, no 877 numbers.

And you know *never* to call the number *they* supply but should call the legit SCE number you look up on your bill or the phone book or internet, right?

They called me on a continuous basis for the last three weeks from a (201) 465-4287 and never leave me any msgs.  Yesterday, after the 5th time, it leave me a computer generated msg and asked me to call back (877) 269-9260 in reference to my home and said that the call is from SCE.  I did the same like what WT was doing and went online to SCE's website to see if the 877 number exists?  Well, SCE doesn't have any 877 numbers.  All their contact information numbers are 800!!  How can we stop this?  Sounded like some crooks are doing this with a specific scam!!!
