They claimed to be from BB&T and wanted to know if I am satisfied with their services.

I just got the same call. When I call back, it's a simple voice mail from BB&T Sales. They stated they were recording the call and asked tow yes or no questions. Have you had any repercussions from this call?

caller claims to be from BB&T sales.  this number has been confirmed as a pretext caller/ social engineering scheme.  DO NOT PROVIDE ANY INFORMATION!!

I received a call from these vermin. I also have an account with BB&T.

BB&T always clearly identifies themselves on the telephone caller ID. These creatures did not - violating the law - they are certainly criminal frauds. Can law enforcement kindly investigate these parasitic insects as soon as possible, and hopefully arrest them and put them in prison for a long time for their scam operations.

I got a call today at 10:27am and didn't answer and they left no message...they call here frequently but I don't answer.

call every third day or so, blocked them on voip.

I get calls from this number at least once a day for the last month.  lately I pick up and not say anything just so it registers on my phone.  They say Hello a few times then hang up.  The same person calls with a unknown caller ID.  I recognize the voice because I did the same thing pickup and listen but don't talk.  I am on the no call list but doesn't seem to effect these people

Called today at 12:25 p.m.  No caller ID.  Caller said she was with BB&T.

Caller hung up on fourth ring.

I have rec'd several calls from this number.....mostly when I'm not a home.  I rec'd one on Friday and I answered with one "Hello"......nothing.
A few minutes ago I rec'd another call.....and I did answer.  The gentleman said he was from BB&T and wanted to ask me a few questions.  I lit into him - he never saw it coming!!!!  I told him I was on the National Do Not Call list and if I heard from him again, I'd sue!  He said he had never called.....and with that, I said "your number pops up every day on my caller ID - so be warned, I'm after ya'll". I don't know if my tactics will work......but the next time my language will be not so lady-like!

My question is - If I am on the national do not call list - and they are in violation of this - why won't anyone do anything?  It's not like the police cannot get their info - in order to get a telephone number whether it be home, business, 800 or not - someone has to request from the telephone company to purchase the 800 number.
I get a call once a day from this number as well.  The only thing is that they never answer after the delay - I say Hello 20 times and nothing happens

I receive calls from this number often--when I answer, no one is on the other line.

Just received a call from this number; ID showed "Not Provided".  As I have learned from Clark Howard (radio consumer advocate), I don't answer when I see "Not Provided".  That is the point of Caller ID....
Didn't leave a message either.  And I too am on the Do Not Call List.....   I get a real kick out of telling sales callers that right off the top; usually get the "Oh, sorry" as I hang up on them.....

They aren't selling you anything.  You had their service.  When you signed up, they got permission.

Got call and they did not leave message, did search on internet and found this site.  If this was a legitmate BBT call a representative would have left me a message re my account.  Obvious fraud

I didn't answer, but it does appear to be a caller most likely on behalf of BB&T in the least or a crafty way to grab info... i.e. also mentioned in this page. Given the fact it does not even show up on caller ID as BB&T I would elect to not talk to them or give them any info. In fact I just do not answer any toll free incoming calls.  The DNC list is nice, wish we could eliminate ALL unsolicited calls.
