    Sir Bedevere
Called 19 October. Left no message. Caller ID specified 877-279-2311 and "Unavailable" for caller name. Web search shows that number belongs to "Okapi Partners" but they seem unlikely to be calling (especially with "Unavailable" as the caller name).

Most likely an illegal telemarketer spoofing this number.

The caller ID states"Unavailable".  Called everyday for a week. Message left was "Proxy-information line" I reported the harassment to my financial advisor.  FYI...to telemarketers , if you're not "available" to me, or "unknown"...I'm unavailable to you !!!!

If you have stocks or whatnot as part of your IRA, then you are a share holder and you are entitled to vote in share holder meetings.  They send you voting papers from time to time.  If you don't send them back, they call you to get your vote.  That's all this is - it's totally legit.  I do wish they'd identify themselves on caller id though, but it always comes up as 'unavailable'.  Most of the time when a call comes in from a toll-free number without a name on caller id, it's a scam.

Numerous unsolicited calls every day to my personal phone. I never answer their call, but call them back from a corporate office phone. First a recording says thank you for calling Proxy Information Line. Then a "human" picks up and thanks me for calling Eagle Funds., then I hang up.
Also the following numbers, with the same spiel:
