I just wanted to confirm that this number is indeed from National Student Loan Centre even though it is a different number then what is registered on their website. If you are not comfortable giving your SIN you can also give your OSAP loan number.

This IS a LEGITIMATE call. This number is the National Student Loans Service Centre. This number is not listed on their main webpage, but it DOES indeed get you in touch with the NSLSC. I just received an automated call from this number today, and called it back directly and spoke with them. Ignore the people who say it isn't real.

This is the National Student Loan service Centre and if I understand correctly after talking to them about my student's award, they are administering the Canada Student Loan (whether it is the award or the collection of the loan). It is a legitimate number and if the automated calling system has contacted you, there is likely something that needs attention (missing a form, owe a payment, need a signature, or whatever). Good luck!

Yes this really is the National Student Loan Centre Canada. We called them back on the number listed on their main web page which is different and they confirmed the number and call were legit. Just a note though, when my son called the website listed number, he got the last digit wrong and that Was a scam number saying the number had been changed and you could access the new number for a cost of $3.49 by pressing 1. I have run into a few of these scam numbers using phone numbers very close to popular 1-800 numbers.

Was called from the exact number asking me to call them back. After some contemplation, I called them. They asked me for my SIN, then I closed.

    Its a scam.

Hi just got called from them and called them back. It is a legitimate number . When they answer, they ask for your osap Id number OR your sin number as both are tied only to your specific  account. It is NOT a fraud/fake number, call the national student loan number listed if you dont feel comfortable calling this one but it's 100 percent legitimate and they're calling because you have an account with them

I got a call from this number and was skeptical when they asked for my SIN. This number is also not on the official site, but when I called the number on the site (1 888 815 4514) and asked about this number they told me it was probably a real number. They just needed copies of ID from me photocopied along with my the MSFAA I sent to them weeks ago.
