Called today.  Used my first name and advised "we're your computer support company".  I told them they were not my computer support company and they hung up.  Assume it is a scam of some sort.

No, they want access so they can place malware/spyware/viruses on your computer and then make you pay a ransom to "repair" it.  Just another variation of the computer virus scam call.

This number called me stating they were my support company, etc. This is the second or third time I've received this type of call. They actually called back twice more.

A person with a thick West-Asian accent called me. Knew my Name, Email address, how many computers, laptops and game consoles and my cell number. I said some bad things to him and he kept calling me back trying to insult me.
I really wish I knew how they knew my info in that detail.

I got the same phone call, 7 laptops and iphones were using my wireless.  I told the guy that I would contact Microsoft and ask them about it directly.  He said he was calling from Microsoft, but I don't trust (and glad I don't) phone calls like this. Be viligant and if in question, call your provider before doing anything.

I was scammed by an 800 number last year--saying he's from Microsoft....  So I no longer answer any 800 numbers from any businesses that I'm not expecting any calls from. No voicemails. When you call back, the number doesn't exist. SIGNS that it's a SCAM! Blocking asap!

I got the same as other folks...iphones and laptops on my network.  FYI...Microsoft will NEVER call you about an issue.  That's why they have a ton of support lines...so you can call them

Company stating they were my internet provider and that there was an issue with my connection. Well, since my internet provider is Comcast and they'd never in a million years call me to proactively fix a problem, I knew it was a scam.

If they know that much, you might want to call your internet service provider and have them look into it. Could be THEY were hacked. (Or have someone selling info they shouldn't, which is probably more likely.)

Same old, same old, with the email variant. Told them flat out it was a scam and not to call me again. Doubt they'll listen though. (Ah, the sheer number of numbers I have blocked for this very reason!)

Received call from this number 877-283-8360,  I do not recognize the number, so I do not answer, hit Ignore then add to my Block Call App.  I do not care who it is, nor do I return call to find out.  I am sure it is not Hillary R. or Donald J.
