Got a text message stating

Please call us immediately at 877-285-0956. Verification needed on your debit/ATM card. Thank you.

I also received one of these texts.  It said the same exact thing, from the same sender, etc.

I received a text message from 877-285-0956@alarionbank.com on 3 April 2009 at 8:07 AM.  It said "Please call us immediately at 877-285-0956.Verification needed on your debit/ATM card.Thank you.

Same thing. I called and the number is out of service. Watch out.... looks like a scam!

I received several of these as a text msg. I reported it to MY bank. Hope no one responds to this crap! Also, report it to your phone company. Can't hurt.

I got a text message on 4/6/2009 with the same text as above.  I ignored it because I don't have an account at Alarion Bank.  Then I got another text today saying that my Alarion Bank account had been deactivated, and that I need to call 212-801-2382.

Received mms text msg from toolpll@messaging.sprintpcs.com 4/7/09: "Your Alarion DebitCard starting with 4694-92XX-XXXX-XXXX has been suspended. Contact us immediately at 8036939620" .......yeah, right....A) No acct. w/Alarion (who?!?!), B) No bank would do that. Do people really fall for this stuff? Most people know who they bank with so anyone dumb enough to fall for this...well...that's just sad.

Received this message on my T-Mobile phone on 04/05/09 8772406149@alarionbank.com/ /Alarion Bank. Call us at 1-877-240-6149 to find out why your debit/ATM card 469492XXXXXXXXXX was blocked.
AND they called 4/07/09 from a blocked number! I heard a computer-like voice talking to me about my Alarion Bank account, which I don't even have! I hung up immediately, not thinking about getting more information from them
