My wife just received a text "Alert" on her cell phone that her credit card (did not identify which card) had been deactivated and was directed to call back. Looks like a scam to gain personal info.

I just got this message as well.  Recently, I also got a call from a place called "Readers Choice" who tried to tell me I bought something from them and tried to "verify my age."  Don't fall for this crap, and never give your information to anyone who calls you over the phone.  Get requests for your information sent to you in writing, or in person whenever possible.
