A scam about antivirus services. This number came up as a popup on my computer. I thought it was a scam and asked an IT friend to check it out for me. The friend called and called them out by stating they were scamming people, the company started swearing non-stop and hung up. The guy on the phone couldn't decide which name they wanted to be: PC lite or Lite 24/7.  Also stated that he was part of Microsoft, then was also part of Norton Virus. He was unable to keep his stories straight.

my parents got the same message and fell for the scam, cost them $800 and compromised their banking info.

Beware this is a scam call your police or FBI so others don't fall for this scam even post it on Facebook this are spoofing numbers call your phone company block this number and all spoof numbers or Skype numbers

I got the same computer message and fell for it.  Fortunately I cancelled my check.

I had a pop up on my computer screen and I called the Microsoft number they had provided and fell for the scam gave them my DC info and. Mom gave them DC info? What should I do? Help!!!!!!

Hacked my computer caliming I had a virus and to call the number. Coherced me into believing if I didn't purchase the anti-virus system, my computer would be infected and shut down. Middle Eastern man and woman. Installed Sophos anti-virus system which is a free system for Mac computers. Never received a contract  or information on how to cancel the purchase. Unfortunately gave them my credit card # and unable to recover from my bank through dispute as I did give them my number. Total scam.

I call them, too late this information .
What should I  do now?

Microsoft DOES NOT COLD CALL! Take your computer to a brick-and-mortar computer shop and tell them what happened. Your comp is probably screwed and a bunch of stuff was disabled as well as any sensitive data grabbed.

Was on my computer when I got a pop up from Microsoft saying that my computer was blocked to avoid further damages and I should call 1 877 286 0406 to get it fix.It also said that not to shut down or restart you computer because it will damage your hard drive.

YOUR COMPUTER DOESN'T HAVE A VIRUS!! TRUST ME. THIS NUMBER IS THE VIRUS!!!DO NOT FALL FOR ANYTHING SAID BY ANYONE FROM THIS NUMBER. It is a scam and they Will tell you have a virus and remotely access your computer and get you to pay HUNDREDS of dollars ON BOGUS protection plans AND, not to mention give up your routing and account number. This hapened to my father,  and he is one rarely fooled. They are very convincing so be sure to LOOKUO THE NUMBER YOU ARE CALLING BEFORE OR DURING YOUR "SUPPORT" PHONE CALL.
