- diane| 3 repliesthere was a trial sample of beauty product, sample, you only had to pay shipping 4.95. I said ok, then the terms and conditions are found way below after you fill out all you visa card info. I immediately tried to cancel, they said any button you press on the phone indicates you want to order, not cancel, number 1, then I said I want to cancel the sample, everything, because the terms said they were going to charge 89.95 every month after this. oh no. so I said cancel everything, they wouldn't. they said it will be 38.71 to cancel, I said what are you talking about? im canceling everything, don't want product or anything after this deceiving product info. they insisted there is a charge to cancel, since when do you have to pay to cancel a product.

- Pudge replies to dianeYour situation is one of the top 10 complaints according to the FTC. If I were you, I'd contact my state attorney general and file a complaint with the FTC (Federal Trade Commission) and the BBB. This looks like out and out fraud. I wouldn't be shy about giving the name of the company or product either. It will help others who find themselves in a similar situation. Here's the FTC complaint web page.

Can you cancel the payment through your credit card company or file a dispute? It might also help to refuse any shipments that arrive and document the fact that you've refused acceptance. Here's the e-how page on refusing a fed-ex shipment:

Hope this helps. - Jac| 2 repliesI also did the same trial with this company, and currently have my bank disputing a case with them. The trial period stated, "14 days in home trial." The product arrived 7 days after the $4.95 was charged to my account , and they billed me $89.95 on the 13th day after my initial order of $4.95 shipping was charged. I also tried to cancel prior to the "14" day trial and was told the same thing, that it would cost me 1/2 the price to cancel.
#1 They don't give you a full 14 days trial with the product , they include the mailing time .
#2 - They bill you before the actual trial period ends, not allowing you to cancel.
# 3 - They deceitfully don't allow you to cancel and charge unauthorized FEES if you request to cancel.
I currently have a provisional credit on my account while this is in dispute. I encourage to dispute this with your bank if you want full credit, don't agree to pay half or any restocking fees.
So here's the kicker, ....I also received an additional charge of $4.95 the same day i was charged for the NU DERMA trial. A second, different eye cream product, arrived with no invoice , no paper work, nothing. I thought it was part of the trial product and never opened. I planned to return it when I called to cancel. I then noticed a second charge of $89.00 the same day I was charged form Nu Derma, I was told the eye cream was a separate order and had to call a different number. This company Vibrante Skin was courteous and gave me instructions with a RMA# to return the item for full refund, and didn't argue when I said I never ordered or authorized to receive this product.
It seems the website for the FIRST trial product (NuDerma) automatically sends the second item if you don't click "NO" on a tiny box somewhere at the bottom of the page of the trial offer. I was informed this by the Vibrante eye cream Rep.
I received my refund from them within 10 days after mailing the return. But I'm still out the $4.95 that was charged to ship it to me and the $5.95 it cost me to return it, I will not be reimbursed for any shipping for a product I never ordered & had to return at cost to me.
So this is a lesson learned. NEVER order trials for ANY products, there is always a catch. You will always be out money even if you do spend the time to make phone calls and return the products by mail, etc.. If you do receive full credit for the items , you still end up paying for shipping charges. I have not been able to receive reimbursement for shipping.- Caller: NuDerma Skin Care & Vibrante Skin

- Renee Miller replies to Jac| 1 replyI ordered a serum from life cell but got NyDerma 3 days later. Never heard of them but thought they were Life Cell. Three days later got Vibrante. Two weeks later got t he life cell I originally ordered for 2.95. I was calling throughout asking questions and getting the. Run around. Today I was charged $89 from another company, crystal skin. They, on the phone represented as NuDerma. I don't know what is happening but think all these companies are related. There could be more involved as I have found all this out just today. Stay away from all of these. It's dangerous form your money and credit.
- Tamianth replies to Renee MillerI recommend filing a fraud dispute with your bank or CC holder and also filing reports with the FTC & CFB..

- Brenda Brown replies to dianeSame thing here. I called them this morning and they said I had 14 days to try the product and decide to cancel the order. It took two weeks to 14 days to even get the product so there's no time to cancel. Today I noticed I have new charges on my account and they said I cannot return the product that's in the agreement so I'm going to the bank to cancel everything on them.
