- BrendaThis guy is calling my work with the same thing. I've not called anyone for help regarding my personal computer.
- Caller: spc expert for microsoft
- SamThis call is from a company called Systweak, they claim to be a partner of Microsoft, which isn't true. They want to install a program called RegClean Pro. This is a fake company, with bad business practices. Their program RegClean Pro is considered spyware, along with this they install a program called DefaultTab which is adware and will affect the way your web browser works, and a remote desktop controller - this means that they can remotely modify and watch what you do online. Registry cleaners generally do more harm than good, adware slows down your computer, and you do not want them on your computer. If you get a call from this number do not answer, or tell them you have an abacus.

- D BThis caller was Eastern Indian and very hard to understand, so I didn't catch the name and caller ID said unknown caller. He said I had a computer virus and he was working for Microsoft and he was with AskPCExperts. I said I was not anywhere near my computer and asked for his phone number (he gave 877-287-1122) and I would call back when I was at my computer. He said he would call back, if I didn't. After a few minutes, I called the number and they did answer saying it was Ask PC Experts - this person was also Indian. I told them I had wrong number and hung up. They didn't call back.
- Caller: askpcexperts for microsoft

- GiG replies to Mike AdamsShill alert !!
- riaI got a call from this number with the same story as above. This person wanted to use teamviewer to check my system. I did not want to give him access and so i hung up. What is going on?
- Shill Fighter replies to Mike AdamsIf "Mike Adams", above, is not East Indian himself, working for AskPCExperts (or a shill for the company), then I would be willing to fly to India and bathe in the holy Ganges River ! "Mike", your sentence construction is obviously East Indian.
Furthermore, MicroSoft does not place unsolicited, outgoing technical support phone calls, and neither do their partners...They make contact via e-mail. So, beware of scammy telephone contacts such as these. - DaveI got a phone call stating that windows had received messages that my pc had a virus. It has been very slow and has low memory so i proceeded and allow the operater to download regclean pro onto my computer and the operator took over my computer to help with this process. He showed me evidence that my pc was infected and stated my windows firewall had expired. He then offered me a price list offering to update the firewall. I then realised it was a scam to sell software and declined his offer. I uninstalled the regclean pro which i understand is a legit product. Is my pc safe? I do have anti virus soft ware.
- vasant malii want to need licence key of Regclean pro 6.2

- elixi used this company a few times. They seemed diligent and worked for hours on my computer, through the remote control connection. they fixed stuff and told me I really needed a new computer. I really did. I think they are legitimate. I'm not a shill. I don't like the idea that there are bad guys slamming good companies.
- Caller: askpcexperts
- megan dhalaii haven't gotten a phone call from them but I paid £23.00 for my laptop to be cleaned of any viruses etc. Th scan said it cleared the viruses but my lap[top hasn't been any faster infact its been slower. Any help or advice would be great.
- Sergio MomessoI received a call yesterday from an Eastern Indian claiming to be a representative of Microsoft and that my PC was being hacked. He said he needed to get my CLS Idea and that I had 30 minutes to give him access or he would have to shut my PC down because it would be hacked. Asked for his phone number and I would call him back within 5 minutes. He said the phone numbers they dial are random and that if I called back, because they are so busy I would probably get a busy line. I told him I would take my chance, he then referred me to the ASKPCX website and said I could get the phone number there. Asked him what information he had from me, CLS Idea etc. He said he couldn't give me that information because "how could he tell that I was legitimate"??? I asked him the same question, he then blurred out 30 some characters that he claimed was my CLS idea, I thanked him and hung up. Guess what, 24 hours later, my PC is still working fine....
- kay rae| 3 repliesI was given this number by Apple Support for hotmail help, as my computer had been hacked into.
They fixed all of my problems. I did not have or unknowingly send any strange messages after that. I am surprised by most of the other comments. I was given a one year warranty on the repair, a registration number and a repair ticket number. I have called them over the year to do a recheck and everything was fine. - Alex replies to kay raeThis Company Seems to be a fraud, calls every one pretending Microsoft & threat of viruses & cheat people.
Just be aware Microsoft never calls any one to check the viruses in the computers.
Beware of the calls from 877 287 1122 & don't provide any remote session of your computers to them they can damage your important data then rob you in the pretext of repair. - Busy Mum| 2 repliesIf you get a call from Ask PC Expert - hang up! These guys are pressure selling security software which you do not need. I went along with their call to see what they actually wanted me to do. Actually ordering me to turn on my pc and trying to scare me into thinking my pc was about to be hacked at any moment and they could prove it. They ask me to open Event Viewer and go to the administration section where it shows lots of error codes and exclamation marks.....this is just a reporting log for your PC and doesn't mean anything. After speaking to someone who was obviously from an Indian call centre and my confirming yes I had pretty red and yellow warning signs on my PC suddenly I get switched over to an Irish speaking gentlemen who then became very threatening telling me after refusing to pay a one off payment for a years registration..... that I was the one who was going to learn a hard lesson !!! I just hung up.. simple. I am going to report this company to Microsoft for misrepresentation.

- SgtAllenUSA replies to Busy Mum| 1 replythese guys took my elderly parents for $3100! I feel terrible cause I was supposed to have fixed their computer weeks ago and I have not had time. I am a soldier and an IT Professional. THIS IS A SCAM!! These are really bad folks. I think my next tour over that way is going to have to include a detour. These guys pissed off the WRONG Soldier/GrayHat! As I have seen several "Shill" Posts I know they are watching these boards so I give you fair warning... I am looking for you and when I find you a couple of fraud charges and a computer bug will be the last of your worries!
- Tamianth replies to SgtAllenUSADo file fraud with the bank or CC and get that computer gone though. They should change any and all passwords also. Lord only knows what they got off your parents computer for info!
