- MHL replies to DeeI was also charged a fee for automatic renewal. By getting the priority ref. number, it took 1 min to be served and everything was taking care of in not even 5 min. no questions asked. Thanks a lot for your tip.
- BrianI tried the tactic suggested by Dee and didn't have much luck and then tried the 877 294 5265 number, pressed 2 immediately, spoke with a guy who had an english accent and it seems as though the problem was resolved in under 7 minutes, we shall see if the statement reflects that though.
- KarenAfter being on hold for over an hour WITH my priority ID, I concurrently went online and used the 24/7 online chat with support. With hold music still playing in my ear on the slim chance someone might answer, I was shocked that the online support had a tech online immediately with me. He found my false double billed orders and said he would refund it in full in 2 business days. The entire process took no more than 3 minutes from start to finish -- all while still on hold listening to the hold music...
- Norton's outAnnual Renewal charge appeared on my bank statement and it is not time to renew. Norton phone service is ridiculous. 8772945265 belongs to some type of a casino where the people have very strong accents (not american, bank says tooo much time has past.

16 février 2010https://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-877-294-5265 - Juanita replies to MélanieNorton Took money out of my account as well without permission. Did you get any results after talking with them?
- StaceyUnbelievably ridiculous! I am currently at 36:13 minutes, trying to get this resolved. I was charged $58.29 for an annual renewal I didn't sign up for! It took about five times for this non-English speaking person to get my email address correct! SO IRRITATING! I am currently on hold while they "credit my account". We'll see if that happens. I think they want you to get so irritated that you hang up.
My automatic deduction on my bank statement has the Norton phone number of 877-294-5265.
Good luck. - Don replies to DeeIt didn't help!!

Alain.Argouin@cgocable.ca - Yvon AuclairJe veux un crédit de 63.01 car j'ai jamais demandé le service de Norton.
The took 63.01 on my credit card without my permission. - V McCombI was charged for auto renew today for $79.99 when in fact my deceased husband had ordered this product last year and neglected to 'uncheck' the auto-renew box when signing up (very tricky and deceiving). Use the live chat mechanism on the website Go to http://www.symantec.com/norton/support/index.jsp
After spending a half an hour going round with the "Analyst" and telling her my husband had ordered the software, my husband had passed away and they were ILLEGALLY AND FRAUDULENTLY charging the checking account in JUST MY NAME on orders of a dead man. I had to get irate with them for them to remove the charges and they tried one go around to get out of it and when I asked them how long until the refund they said they did not refund and let them explain why. I had to point out I didn't mind paying for the $139.99 last year on my husband's order which was fully paid for it was the renewal fee of $79.99 that I wanted refunded. They gave me all this hassle about what was the order number what were the email accounts on the order number, well how the he()*_ll would I know, it is not like I could ask my dead husband these questions!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Very frustrating. In the end they "said" they refunded my renewal fee, took the account off auto renewal and i should see the refund in 2-3 days in my checking account. Insensitive bas()U*_tards. I will believe it when I see the refund. If not I am definitely going on the LIVE CHAT again as I live out of the country and can't call toll free numbers.- Caller: Norton Antivirus

- Duke replies to dawn eastmanI just chatted online with Norton guy (accessed from Norton site).
And he made my account to disable automatic renewal and refund in 5 minutes. Chat is recommended.
According to him, Norton makes "automatic renewal" AUTOMATICALLY once we purchase their product by online.
Thanks,
Duke - jackie harmon replies to Billstop did not want to renew this

- Sick and TiredReceived a charge on my credit card last August (2010) for $79 and some change. After contacting the number on my credit card bill, I made it very clear that I did not want to be charged for something that I didn't even know what I was being charged for. I was told it was for an online backup. Supposedly, the guy removed the "online backup" from my account and refunded my money. Until this month....I start reviewing my credit card statement only to find that I have now been charged for an Annual Fee of $31.79. Again, I contact the number on my statement to find that this is another "Annual Charge" for online backup services. The guy on the other end offered me a 50% refund and I would be able to keep my online backup service.....the service that was shut off the previous August. I told him to remove the charge 100%, and remove the Annual Renewal because I do my own back-ups. This is ridiculous and fraudulant and I will be taking further action if there is one more incident of this kind.
