I am.  I am not sure why???  Says they are location services...

This person keeps calling my home and cell and using various 877 #s they are scammers and I have filed a complaint and reported to FBI they say they are a deb collector and I owe no one that is fraud and malleolus

gotten several calls from them then I quit answering. want money to settle a claim but won't give me who the claim is with. actually said the police is going to come to my house, said I had been notified by mail. no they have not. today they left a message with my son
a person's name comes up owning the # and it is a private residence. the name given in the message is Matthew, the residence name attached to # is Colvin.

I've received several calls. They state that I owe for a bill that is not true. They hung up when I told them I am an attorney and further tried to give them a number to my attorney.  They hung up on me , the a**holes!

I don't know why these people are trying to locate or find my whereabouts. I just blocked them on my phone.

They just called me today. The lady said. This a call for our location and freezing efforts to contact (my name)". They wanted me to call them back. But did not state their location.office just a phone number. What's up with that.

I get a message. from a lady everyday inquiring on the whereabouts of someone named Amanda. The call is threatening  to call all contacts listed. Listed where, I have no idea.  I never answer or call back.  They just leave a call back number.

I've also been getting calls from this number leaving messages saying they needed to find my whereabouts and location and if I didnt call back they would call anyone they could to try to get ahold of me. I'm not calling them back. I filed bankruptcy last year, so I don't owe anyone anything. If anyone gets the name of this place though, please post it. They don't leave a name and nothing I've found on the web references one, so it must be a scam.

I received a call from them today said they were calling from BRG attempting to collect a debt. Said I received a pay day loan back in 2011 and never paid it back. They were trying to collect money for Paragon Funding and Alliance Online. He said I owed one $460 and the other $440. I have never requested a pay day loan. Sounds like a bunch of BS to me!

I just received a message from my brothers ex-wife saying someone called crg from this number tried to find my whereabouts or number but wouldn't say why.That's really irritating.

They need to leave me alone.

Caller left electronic message:
"this message is regarding our location and tracing efforts for (name) dial zero now to speak with a representative or call 870-730-1367 it is important that we speak with you in regards to their whereabouts if we cannot verify this information through you the law allows us to contact all references on file if you are unable to provide any information, please contact us regardless at 877-301-0367. Thank you."

Can anyone tell me if this crap is for real or not?

It is incumbent upon them under the law to prove that the debt exists and that you owe it, and that they have the legal right to collect it.  You are not obligated under the law to prove that you don’t owe or that it is paid.

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) postmarked within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt.  It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.

The recorded call to my cell phone says their efforts are to locate a "John L. Hairston Hairston" ... assuming for collection efforts???  They have other numbers as well with the same recording (877-201-0733).  I have never heard of this person, nor any person with two double last names like this.  I was getting the same call for the same person on my previous cell number and home phones, so I'm guessing it's just another scam.  I will be filing a complaint on both numbers  :)

They called me and my son with threatening statements about money owed.  To whom, they didn't say.

Same scammers calling from 3 different numbers as of today.  877-203-9808, 877-201-0733, and 877-301-0367.  Same threatening message (exactly same message in fact) regarding tracing efforts and that the law authorizes them to contact references.  I left them numerous messages that obviously they found me, they could  send me in mail whatever it is they feel I've done, and that they are to stop contacting my family.  My family is feeling very threatened by these calls and I want them to stop.  I have filed reports with http://www.consumerfinance.gov/

They will not leave you alone.  Invest in a call blocker.

called this number back because they left 10 messages that they were looking for me and will call contacts, so i called and got some guy named Bill that was not happy because I asked him what company he was from  he said BRG and they were attempting to collect a debt from Cash Net. when I questioned him and he told me the funds were deposited into a bank called Washington Mutual i told him he was funny because i don't deal with a place called that. He then got very rude and ugly told me good luck the cops will be at my home to pick me up and slammed the phone down.  I am reporting this to the attorney general and also calling the said bank.
