- PJI am receiving calls from this number for my ex-husband's girlfriend. I have been divorced from this man since 1996, and I do not have any idea how they would get my phone number. If anyone else has this issue, please post it. If I ever find out how they got my phone number in reference to this person, I'll post it here so others can know.

- ROBINHOODThey are quite a piece of work, most likely looking up people you communicate with on social networks such as face book, harassing anyone they find any phone records of with recorded messages claiming they know you have day to day contact with this person and wont stop calling till this person contacts us.
Tell anyone their calling to just call them back and state your not their messenger or better yet tell them they need to pay for your services, if they refuse then till them you have no further business with me and stop calling me, if they do anyone know the correct agency to complain to?
Whatever you do DON'T GIVE THEM ANY POSITIVE REINFORCEMENT FOR THEIR ACTIONS!!! - BJNO give them nothing no matter what they claim they know about you, if you let them force you into being their messenger you will be getting calls from scum bags like this anytime they think for whatever reason you know how to contact others, and yes I like the pay me or go away response heck why do a scumbags job for free (-:
- LMLThese people called our place of business looking for one of our employees. I called them back, asked if they were calling the employee regarding something to do with our business. The guy hemmed and hawed a bit then said it was personal. I informed him that our employees don't receive personal calls, to contact him at home, and not to call here again.

- LGThis is a debt collection agency that called an ex boyfriend' father that I dated in New York, 10 years ago. no one knows how they got his number and address who resides in another state ! neither my ex nor myself have ever lived there ! they told me that if the person they are trying to reach doesn't answer over a period of time...they then put your name into a computer system that will connect you to whomever they can. The problem now is that they told my ex's father that I used his address and phone to get credit when in fact that was NOT at all the truth ! So he filed a police report against me, since I have had nothing to do with that family for over 10 years ! The bottom line is I should have paid...but I would if I could ! They really are ruthless. DOB"T give them any info. They wont bill you and want your credit card payment over the phone.they claim that they bought your debt, yet they do not have much info about you at all !

Just because someone on the phone calling you says you owe a debt does not mean you actually owe it.
If a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt:
1. Demand the person give you his or her name, company name, and address
2. Demand a debt validation letter by US mail. E-mail no good.
3. Do not pay the collection agent or anyone else a dime until the debt is validated
Of course they won’t do this, no scammer ever will, so simply ignore them and block their calls.
If they are bothering you, report them:
http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0149-debt-collection (Threatening civil proceedings with no intent to follow through, or threatening criminal process in order to collect a civil debt is a violation of the Federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.) The same goes for endless telephone harassment
Note that the US Supreme Court in the Case of HENSON ET AL. v. SANTANDER CONSUMER USA INC., has recently ruled that the provisions of the Federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act do not apply if the creditor owns the debt in question. As a practical matter this probably won't effect the kinds of scam debt collectors who often show up on 800notes. The scam collectors don't give you any information about themselves so it is impossible to know whether or not they in fact "own" the debt in question. Most do not send debt validation letters and many often say they are collecting for someone else. So, make the complaint anyway if they are bothering you. Let the FTC sort it out.
Also contact your local attorney general
If they continue to bother you, and you know you do not owe any money, tell them that you know this is a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion. Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved. Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them at whatever address the jack***es are working out of now.
You'll probably have to yell at them and talk over them. Tell 'em no scammy debt collector is going to push you around.
You have to get tuff with these people because, being akin to thugs, brute force is (metaphorically speaking). the only thing they understand.- Caller: Informational post
