They said l owed a bill for several thousand dollars from 20 years ago. They knew my social security number. 😱

Well, hopefully you did not confirm it was, as scammers dig up out dated information and collect personal information from other scammers, so they don't always know if the information they collected is accurate or not, but go forward with their scam hoping it is enough to fool a victim.

Scammers. First a woman called from a blocked number. She said she was hired to deliver a package to me but needed a signature. She was at my address where l lived 21 years ago.  She gave me a number to call. 877-313-0642. Several men came on putting me on hold until one asked me to identify myself. I said no. He said if you give me your birthday l will give you your social security number to prove this is a legit call. So l did. And he gave me my social security number. Then he told me l owed $3986.98. I told him to shove it because I’m not paying a scammer. I blocked the number.

I called my lawyer. He said statue of limitations is six years in my state and it would easily be taken off my credit in case they try to report it. WTH? I don’t have any debts. Not even a credit card. My home, land, business, and truck is paid for in full.

Someone called my brother and when he did not answer sent him a text message asking me to call 877-313-0642.  Some lady came on the line and told me to hold.  Some guy came on and asked me for name, address, ssn and dob.  When i said not until you tell me what company you are, he refused.  End of call.  If you google the 877 number it comes back to a individual.

Scam . Received call from "unknown caller id" . A female left a message to call 8773130642 and included a reference number. Said if I did do this "action" would be taken . Didn't call - of course. Btw - the caller referenced out dated information ....
