this number and another 877 number calls just about every day. I am getting really tired of coming home and seeing the message light flashing and this number comes up. What is so danged important in calling me EVERY SINGLE DAY??? I've ingnored this number for nearly a year, and they still don't get it that I will NOT pick up the phone. But I'm afraid if I call back the number they (whoever the low-life slime is) will have a record of my call and still continue to call. And call. And call......

This phone number 877-313-3769 continually calls my cell phone 4 times per day, weekly. No voice mail message of any kind. I have answered this call once and could hear someone clearing their throat and breathing on the other end, but no verbal response.

1-877-313-3769 -- I went online to look up the owner of the number before I calledthe number back, when I saw this blog.  All of you definately got my curiousity up, so I just went aheay and called the number back, it was after hours, "Thank you for calling Charter, the office is currently closed"  Grow up people and think.  I gather one of you heard breathing only becuase the caller didn't hear you say hello, or got sidetracked and didn't realize their headset was still on.  Since I keep waiting for my television bill to show up... I gather they are trying to reach me for the same reason... I owe money on my new connection and nothing is getting to me, so they are trying to reach me.  If it is a toll free number, why do you hesitate on answering the call?  Worried it is someone you owe money to? And for those of you who are worried about them recording you when they call you or them finding out who your are... why worry!  First they already have your number, Second, if as you start to listen to the caller and they don't sound legit... hang up.  Grow up people.  Think.  Create a win-win situation for you and the caller.  Answer the call.  I think Caller ID was one of the biggest mistakes ever created.  Businesses don't want their number out there because normally, they are trying to get people to pay up; and the receiver of the call... a lot of times he or she is utilizing Caller ID to ignore people that they owe money to.

Wow you seem to know a lot about this number, all that is based on their answering machine message??? I can make my answering machine say the same thing.

And you seem to know a lot about the people complaining about this number. At least you THINK you know a lot.

Based on your semi-literate and presumptuous message, a reasonable person might conclude that you actually work there and are part of the scam.

Whether that's true or not, don't lecture people on this site because they get sick and tired of getting repeated calls. And if you don't like caller id, you're free to turn it off. Stay ignorant, by all means!

I called that number and it was Charter Communications.  I asked them why they have been calling me every 12 hours for the past 6 days.  They said they wanted to tell me about a special promotion (This is believable because I just lowered my service to the basic level and they have called me before and wasted my time trying to get more money out of me).

I immediately interrupted his speech to ask to have my phone number removed from their promotions list.  He said that he would remove my phone number from promotional calls and it will take up to 20 days to be removed from the list and I may still get another call in the meantime.

It appeared legit and he didn't ask for any personal information, he just read back my phone number from his caller ID to make sure he had the correct account.

i dont want to sound rude or anything but mostly the reason everyone doesnt pick up is like a year ago they said that they were unblocking cell phones from telemarketers, and to call a # and put in a code if u still didnt want to receive those calls, i think what most everyone is worried about is who ever is the owner of the # might put them on some sort of mass calling list (like 100 calls a day instead of the 20 or so annoying ones)

I get a call from this number on a daily basis. I pay bills and do not worry about bill collectors calling me, but I have also had many spam calls on my cell phones that offer work from home and other nonsense, so I do not answer 1800 numbers. Do not assume that you know why people do not answer phone calls.  You post a pathetic diatribe as to how people should grow up, when it is obvious that it is you who needs to grow up.

It's an automated Marketing message from Charter Communications for new promos, specials and offers.  The auto-dialers can tell if they've reached an answering machine by the handshaking signals your machine makes on the phone line (like faxes and modems).  If you don't answer your number goes back into rotation and you keep getting calls until you do.  Once you do, the calls stop until their next advertising campaign.

I get calls from this number one after another. I answered one of these calls and while on the phone, I had a call waiting from this same number. It was calling me every second. I had to unplug my phone completely from the wall. This is ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS, I am F.....ING tired of it. Has to be a way to put a stop to this. Anyone has any suggestions?

It's Charter. The guy asked for me by name and told me of promotions being offered. I said I'm not interested and he said thanks for your time and that was the end of that.
