Receiving harrassing calls, identified themselves as DCN Services, looking to collect on Chase and Target accounts held by my brother who has been deceased since June 2008. Will not accept the fact that he was living on county assistance, buried by the county and there are ABSOLUTELY NO funds to apply to what they say he owes. No guardian, no power of attorney ever assigned. They expect family members to pay off debt. Family members are NOT made of money but continue to receive calls. If you get calls from this number, DO NOT return them as they then want YOUR address, name, etc.

Outrageous phone call in that I am grieving for the death of my mother.  They do not have the integrity to tell me what the issue is, they just want to know personal info about me.  It is purely harassment.  Also scary.

I have been getting harrassed by this phone # asking about a deceased person trying to collect a debt. . I have no idea what company it is. They do not indicate. But I want the calls to STOP!!!

Keep saying they want info on the person in charge of someones estate. These people are creeps.

Got a message from this number looking for the person in charge of my late ex-mother-in-law's estate.  Her son and I have been divorced for over 15 years and I have a new last name!  How they found me is beyond me.  Called my ex-husband and told him to NOT except calls from this number.  Bloodsuckers I'd say.  Don't answer calls from that number!!!

Debt scavenger, trying to collect dead peoples debts from grieving family members. BRUCE STARIHA was the collector. I think it's fraud. Estates are held and notices placed in newspapers to prevent these so called debts.

They did  make a veiled threat to kill my daughter.

Have been receiving unwanted calla from this number since shortly after my husband died at the end of Jan. Know it's a scam and refuse to call them back. But the calls are getting more and more frequent and more and more annoying. Thanks to all the nice people who have posted here, I shall continue to ignore them and suck up the annoyance until either THEY go away or I do!!

This company somehow found my house number and is calling about the estate of my father who has been deceased since March. First off my dad did not own property, so there is no estate. Also, when you die- so does your debt. These people need to get a real job instead of trying to collect money from a deceased person! I don't owe them anything! I want it to STOP. Will ignore their calls from now on thanks to you guys and will NOT be answering other than telling them to F OFF

My father died less than 3 months ago of cancer; no will or estate. All his bills were paid and his lease car was turned in. The company had left a message for me to call some woman back. First, the guy that answered the phone was Indian and couldn't pronounce my common surname (he sounded like 'Apu Nahasapeemapetilon' from 'the Simpsons'), and said the lady I needed to speak to had left for the day. He then wanted to know my father's social, his previous address, etc. to 'verify' he could disclose the information concerning the call. Then, as by some miracle, the woman I was supposed to speak to materialized in her office and took the call. She gave me the same run-around about personal information and finally told me that she was taking my name off her calling list.  Let's see if that happens. These people are just scum-sucking grave-robbers. They call me a couple times a week since my father passed in July. Caller ID used to say DCM Services. Now it says. 800-SERVICE There is a msg asking if I know who the person is that is handling the final affairs or estate of ---. If you are or know who that person is, to call during such and such hours.

Sorry for your loss.  If there was a will and a probate court hearing you should direct them to the executor.  If it is too late or there was no will and no money then ytou need to tell them.  In any case.  You need to send them a certified, return receipt letter.  You also need to realize that you or your family are not responsible for paying that debt.

Got a message asking me to call about my mother's estate.  Didn't identify themselves, the company or reason for the call.  Glad I checked them out first before calling back.

Received a message on my cell phone stating they are looking for person handling the estate of my late husband.  He had no will, was a veteran with 60% disability and he passed in Sept. 2013.  First I have heard from them Glad I checked this number out before returning the call.

I have received several calls from this number in the last couple of weeks regarding the "estate" of my ex-husband's son.  My ex and I have been divorced for 30 years and only by coincidence did I recognize the name of the son in their message (I haven't answered any of the calls).   I have no idea how they associated me with this person.   This is obviously a scan meant to get money out of grieving family members.  DO NOT ANSWER or GIVE ANY INFO to them.

I received two calls on my home number from someone calling himself Robert Adkins who asked for whoever was managing my father's deceased estate.  When I phoned the # to see what this annoying call was all about Mr. Adkins asked for my father's SS#!  I told him I would NOT be giving my father's SS# to him.  Thereafter he fudged around and said he couldn't find any information about why they had called me!  Seems like a scam company.  BEWARE - NEVER give a SS# out to anybody.

Get a call a week from these people on a secondary prepaid phone I keep for back-up/emergency....  My number must have previously belonged to someone who has passed with a perceived debt that these bottom feeders are trying to collect.  I looked up the 877 number and found all these posts - grateful to know.  Just wish I didn't have to burn phone min. to delete the stupid  messages....  HATE it!
