they left a message with a malformed phone number with only 6 numbers after the 1-800-, I listened to the message 5 times. it's clearly 6 numbers. so I can't even call them back, they got the name of my deceased mother so wrong that I thought it must be a troll. but looking at other comments here, it's clear this is a scam, because Discover specifically forgave all our debt when my mother died. so this isn't even real to begin with. safe to ignore. add to your blocked caller list on your smartphone contacts.
