these ppl call my cell repeated claiming i oweadebt that i hadno ideaabout something a exhusbandtook out online in my name. i informed them of this and they claim i owe the debt..... im sick of the callsand im not paying for something i didnt do!!!!!!!!!!!!

They called my work number (a robo call).  They asked for my son.  My son is FIVE years old! How they got his name and called my work number is beyond me.  They left number 877-333-7033 to call back.

Initially received a robo-call from 330-286-1270 (Canfield, OH) phone number, stating that there had been "numerous" attempts to contact me (this was the first) and I was to call 877-333-7033 and give the a case number.

When I called back, they asked me if I was Daryl, to which I replied no.  They then verified my name and phone number, then stated I had been listed as a reference and they were attempting to locate Daryl.  When I told them I had no idea who Daryl was and I pressed them for more information as to who they were, they said they were with the State of Ohio Legal Department.

I asked further how they obtained my name in order to find out how my information had been used, they hung up on me.  I'm reporting this to the State Attorney General's Office

I got a phone call today telling me to pay a debt  from pay day loan. I did not get a loan from them,ever. I hope they catch these scammers before they get money from people.

The sad part of these phone calls, it isn;t over yet, once they don't collect from you, then your name and paper get sold in a large lot to another would be collector. I have been dealing with the same pay day loan  that I had taken out 2008 and  which I was late on paying but o did take care of the debt and Thank goodness I kept the paper proving payment.  I get maybe 10 of these calls a year,  at least  Today they called  my old employer  phone number with a robo call twice a day for the last two days and two days last week. ..  Anyways I just called the number and the agents were all on other phones calls, and customer services mail box is FULL  Imagine that.  but, yet it said leave a message with your name and number,  I  stated my name and then told them I just gave their number to  my states attorneys office and to expect a call soon.  I know times are tough  they are for all of us one way or another.    You know what  would be funny  is if we could do a" flash mob" and overwhelm them with phone calls stating we are reporting them to the states attorney.

Just got my first call !  I called back telling them that  their  phone calls are illegal and that  if they comtinue I will ca;; the police . Sick of these people

Thanks everybody for the Posts. I also received a phone call from this 'agency' threatening me with Court action. Isn't there a privacy law protecting my personal information from these type of people. I mean, they obviously are not a legitimate company and take advantage of people who may have had to use a payday loan in the past. I know I don't have any outstanding payday loans....companies who give these loans are very good about collecting and wouldn't use an outside agency. The litigation would begin would the name of the company you owed the debt to...not these scammers! 877-333-7033 is the callback number. Officer in Texas, good for you.(above)

I am so grateful for this page!!  I just got in work and had this message on my phone that they would 'initiate' some kind of action by the 24th of August if I didn't call back by the end of the day.  It was the Good Lord told me to look up this number and here you all are letting me know it's a scam.   It really scared me.

Left a message that had enough evidence so reported to State Attorney, FTC and FCC!!! Called from an Arkansas number and left this number in the message!!

yeah I got a voicemail from these people .say they  going to take legal action Elis a call them by the end of the day  .so I called and ask him what it was about ,they said was that a payday loan I didn't pay  when they told me the name of the pay day loan I knew it was a scam .I told them I never had a loan to these people .so I told him I call in verify that I had  ,they said they didn't keep the records from 2008 .so hung up on the people and I call this loan and they said I didn't know it .so tomorrow I'm going to talk to my attorney general's office and file complaint .
