IRS Money Laundering Phone Scam. Don't pay these people a dime.

This is an IRS Scam. Just tell the caller that you will call the police and they will never call back.

This [***] has not quit yet, Keep calling with arrest warrant, lien, bank account etc....

This is a BIG TIME SCAM, DO NOT CALL THEM DO NOT ANSWER.

This is a SCAM!  Hang up.  The IRS doesn't do business like this.  Go to the irs.gov website and see how common this is. Please don't be fooled and give these people any money!!!

Claimed to be from IRS, when questioned became very defensive... Name provided was David Griffien
Contact #s were 973-894-2646 and 1877 338 1546... would not answer very direct questions.  threatened arrest. Obvious scam being reported to IRS.

Person with an Indian accent and claimed to be "Howard Jones" from the IRS and it was urgent I call back by 6:30 pm. Didn't call back. Thanks for confirming my suspicion that this was a bogus call.

Guy with an Indian accent. Called twice in the same day asking for my gf. Wouldn't answer my questions or leave a message. He actually asked for her cell number when I said she wasn't home. Then said to have her call him back by 5:30 at this number. Left the name Calvin Baker

Just call them and curse them out and get some satisfaction for harassing you.

Got the same scam call from 877-338-1546 threatening me with immediate arrest.  They wanted my account number, debit card number.  They all have accents, initially convincing with their threats, officer numbers, etc.  Ha fun with them, mock them, get your frustrations out on them!!!!

Left a message said he was from the IRS tax audit department, and something about criminal charges and law suits and we had to call him back. Very thick Indian accent and terrible connection.  Gave the name: Nick Anderson # 1-877-338-1546.  SCAM SCAM SCAM!  Wish he would call back now so I can mess with him a bit!

Report the Calls to the real IRS here:
•report the incident to the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration at 800-366-4484.
•You can also file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission at FTC.gov. Add "IRS Telephone Scam" to the comments in your complaint.

Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $60.00 or so.

They just called me twice and left a message. He has a thick accent.  This is a SCAM!

Called twice within 15 minutes. Arrest, tax, lawsuit yeah right. Scam mo-fo's.  Ignore them.  

I received a call from 877-338-1546 stating that I owe over $40,000 in back taxes to the IRS for the years of 2008-2012 and he was sending an officer to my house within 10 minutes to pick me up.

This # just called me 8 times in a row. Saw the comments here so I just clicked the line on and off to disconnect. They kept calling back, I kept disconnecting. Seriously, it was eight calls in two minutes. Got them blocked now. Grateful for this website.
