- Anonymous from Milwaukee replies to LISTEN TO ME, I KNOW!!!Mr. Toman called and left a voice mail on Mon, Feb 6...calling from an anonymous phone number which I did not answer. His message asked for me to call him so that he can verify my address so that he can serve me with a summons at my home or at work. He told me I needed to call 1-877-338-2153 and talk to the plaintiffs if I did not want to get served. This guy even called and spoke with our HR manager who spoke with our legal dept and they told him we do not accept summons from people at work for personal issues. In the state of Wisconsin, we have free access to court cases and I looked up my name and no one has filed a case against me.

- BigA replies to J CONNORSThis is a common ploy by criminals attempting to extort money from people by scaring you into believing that you will be criminally charged, go to jail, lose your driver’s license, have wages garnished, be sued, and a variety of other variations on this, all for an alleged or nonexistent debt. One of the tricks they use is to call your work place repeatedly in an attempt to shame you into paying. They also use the “process server” who calls and claims he is going to serve you, but then says you could avoid it by calling another number.
Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt. It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes. The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.
Read up on your rights here, get template letters to send and also make a complaint at this government site: http://www.consumerfinance.gov/
Also file a complaint with your State Attorney General's office.

Told them I would have to call back up they said I better hurry up because they were getting ready to leave. I have read up on this about it being a scam.

- THIS IS A SCAMI received a call from this number stating that I took out a pay day loan back in 2011 and they were calling to collect. Once I started asking for details they could not provide any and then started threating with a summons and law suit. The agent was rude and belligerent . Seemed very irritated that I was asking for details like the name of the company, email and or website address. I began to laugh at this point I knew it was a scam. They hung up on me and called right back from a different number. I looked up Deversified Services LLC on the BBB website. They are not a legit business. THIS IS A SCAM!!!! Do not pay them any money at all!! Here is the numbers they called from .... 256 275 4055 and 877 338 2153. This is the address that they gave 3577 Chandlee Tucker RD. Atlanta Ca 30338... Looks like we have a SHILL ALERT! - w.I pressed one to get a human, and said may I ask who you are calling, this is a law firm you reached. Rude lady said "I didn't call you, hold on" So I put them on hold and let them sit. The recording says, someone is using your social security number and we need to speak to you, sure, ok.

- Stephanie| 1 replyThis person calls our business line numerous times a day every day and we have requested they stop calling. The people they are calling do not reside or work at this number. They hang up on every call when you try to tell them they have the wrong number and are rude. I called them over and over like they do us and left a voice mail asking them to again remove this number and advised I could call them just as much as they call us. We shall see if they are annoyed enough to take action and remove the number they are calling.
