Called to advise us of helping with Restructuring our home loan

Said they were from CEI and were going to disconnect my electrical service.
I don't have an account.

They told me they were scheduled to disconnect my electric today. That I had to call this number and pay my bill. Funny thing, they were from an electric company that I never heard of.

SCAM !!! Says they are The Illuminating Company. Demanding Payment for disconnection on the phone.

Received a call from another number from someone claiming to be from Com Ed telling me to call this number because our electric bill was past due and they were going to turn off our service. Couldn't give me our account number and our check had already been cashed so believe this number is a scam.

Well known utility scam.   Always call your utility up at a known, published number such as the one on your statement or their official website.

Call from "Com Ed" threatening immediate disconnection, told me to call 877 338 5273, option 1 to straighten out my account.  "Larry Jones" told me he is the Acct Specialist and said I must purchase a pre-paid money card ($500) to avoid cut-off.  I contacted ComEd re scam and reported it to state Atty General.
