This number keeps calling my cell phone numerous times a day. I haven't answered it and they just leave blank messages on my voice mail. I will answer it today and try to find out who they are.

They are calling from "Global Credit", I answered it this morning and the woman would not give me any information. A man called later and hung up on me when I questioned him and told him what he was doing was illegal. They have called once more after that, unfortunately my cell phone company does not block numbers so I may have to change mine.

Had this number screened and it is a land phone!!! he has some sort of settup were as you cannot block his number.
This is a sick idividual that has nothing better to do with his time ...poor lost soul.

Sounds much more like a scam to have money transferred directly to them, all under the ruse of being the "middleman."

Just got a call from this number and they didnt leave a message this time, I have talked to them before and told them to stop calling, the person hes asking for dosent have this number

Got 3 calls from this number today at the office.  They were letting on that they were checking a reference for someone that used to work for us and are applying for a position in their office.  Recorded message that just keeps looping over and over.  Said to call and talk to 'Shawn from Global'.  I didn't call them.  Very annoying when you're working in a busy office.  Grrrrrrrrr!

Part of a large scam. I was targeted with 6 voicemails all from different numbers. Some would leave a message trying to sound official with needing to verify information according to the Federal Government of Canada, some wouldn't leave a message, but THEY NEVER IDENTIFIED WHO THEY WERE, TELL ME WHAT THEY WANTED, OR EVEN CALL ME BY MY NAME IN MY VOICEMAIL.

Someone by the name of Sean called my this morning saying he will submit my file. I keep getting calls from this fort the past couple of month from that wanting to speak to Mehak. I told them that they have a wrong number. Yet they keep calling me.

The folks at the other end of the line are robots being served by robo-calling technology that call anyone with the same last name to try to get payment on outstanding accounts from their robot clients.  They are "alligators" - all mouth and no ears.  Many of their calls start with a moron robot that tells you to wait for an English message, and then proceed to another moron robot which blathers on some other message in "frog-speak".  If you do hold on, you usually get transfered to a robot operator that tells you the call cannot be connected as dialed.  If, by some miracle, you get connected to a Global robot, they proceed to ask you for someone that you've never heard of from whom they're trying to extract blood.  I told one of these robots that there is no-one here by that name and they suggested that they would take my number off the list.  This is robot speak for talk to you later (over and over and over over and over and over again ...).  Even if you did get on a don't call list, there's no guarantee that one robot listens to another.  There are only two solutions: 1. stop using phones entirely, or 2. go blow up their robot facility.

In our case they were looking for someone with the same last name and first initial as my wife. I called them back, was very polite in explaining their mistake and put on the "Who me" act. All the advice I've read says screams and threats don't work. Maybe this paly dumb routine will work. If it doesn't I'll try the "Death in the family" act. You have to be a good actor and/or an accomplished liar to pull this off so don't everyone do this at once. As nasty as this is going to sound I might even try "No speak English". Sorry, I know what that sounds like but if it gets them to stop calling well then..... Just don't provoke them, you'll only get yourself worked up and raise your blood pressure for nothing. Good luck everyone. Maybe we need better consumer protection laws in Ontario. Anyone agree with that?

They call several times a week - and have for two months now - and leave a message on voicemail (for no one in particular) stating that I am in possession of something that doesn't belong to me and to get back to them immediately at the following number: 1-877-342-3271. No names, no dates, no address, no information, nothing. How is this legal what they're doing?

We have been trying to locate you and you have been ignoring our calls.  So please call back.  It is very important that you call back.  If you do not this may play against you.  Very serious voice.

These people have been harrasing me for the last month with automated messages 3-4 times a day and at early hours of the weekends. I called back twice to 1-877-342-3271 and both time was assured that it will take 48 hrs to stop the phone calls as if it was a case of mistaken identity. When I asked for the persons name as a reference he said Mr. England so I asked him if he was joking and  demanded to speak to his supervisor he refused and quickly disconnected the phone. He asked me for my phone # and said I was not on the" LIST". I had to investigate them and found this site so now I know my next course of action. Thanks.

i too have been getting these phone calls.  it is indeed a debt collection company.  however, i have no outstanding debts anywhere, i paid them all off like a good girl.  the man they wanted was the previous tenant at this address.   what this company wants to do, is collect debt either you or someone else owes.  they probably just get the information out of a telephone book to be honest, use the last known address of whoever is too cheap to pay their debts....  quite frankly, it was easy to get myself off the call list.  it will take about 24 hours for the recorded messages to stop.  jesus people, either pay your debt or do what i did, yell nasty cuss words at the person from Global, and demand you be taken off their list!  however, if it truly is your debt they want to collect, just pay up.  if more people just paid their debts, less of us paying citizens will be harassed with this garbage.

I received a couple of calls from this number several days in a row.  An automated message telling me its a "business concern" that needs to be addressed.  The last message again was automated and stated that  "we have been hired to address an important business issue.  we have made several attempts to contact you and your failure to respond is being questioned and it is your obligation and resonsibility to contact us."  Upon researching this number I read that it was from a collection agency - I have no busines that comes through the number they were calling.  It's a personal number only.  I know I have no outstanding collections so I called them as I was rather miffed by this last message.  They asked for me to confirm my phone number, which I gave and they told me who they were looking for.  He did not ask me for any other information that would make me suspicious.  I told the gentleman that this was a wrong number and that I do not know anyone of that name.  He kindly said he will remove this number and informed me that I may receive one more call today as it takes a bit of time to remove.  But after today I would not receive any more calls.  If they continue to call I will make another post.  But I was satisfied with how the agent on the other end handled my frustration about these calls.

We don't know who you area and certainly do not wish to provide you with any information about us. As, the information that you decipher from this e-mail and our private telephone number (above) alone, concerns us greatly and we find it to be extremely stressful to our sense of privacy. Therefore, cease and desist, henceforth. Any future communication identified to be from you or any of your associates and or clients through this medium shall be considered by us to mean that you and your associated firms and/or your clients (directly by instructions to you) are conscientiously, deliberately and maliciously attempting to impose on our right of privacy and confidentiality without cause nor appropriate judicial approved directions for same. i received a call from this number 18773423271 and its so annoying, they keep me calling and if im goin to answer they hang up.
