I received a call concerning my brother, they gave me a case number and a phone number to reach them. I called and spoke with the people and asked them some questions. They are located in Los Angeles, Ca. I spoke to Mr. Griffin ext 103..
I coukd not find this business on the internet though. But the phone number works. My brother doesn't know anyone he owes money too unless it's regarding a credit card from long ago. We really don't know.

Called and said the same, a courier would be coming to my place of employment.  I called the number and they had my last 4 digits of ssn and birthdate and said I owed a debt to ******.  I said no, no no.  I paid that off 4 years ago.  I even looked it up on my credit report with him on the phone.  It showed paid in full.  I told him I was going to call my attorney and he said there was no need to, just a mistake.  Scammers!

Of course they don't want an attorney involved.

First, you should make a complaint at this Federal Agency, and while there you should also read up on how debt collection is supposed to work as well as what your rights in this matter are:  http://www.consumerfinance.gov/

Also file a complaint with your State Attorney General's office.

Had the same call, she had my first name, wrong last name (I haven't had that last name in 20 years) and last 4 of SSN.  If they want to show up at my home or work, fine, but if they are using data that old I can guarantee we are way past the statute of limitations. I recommend not picking up or responding but do report them to your state's attorney general.

Got a call yesterday from Int'l Courier person trying to deliver legal documents to my son at (address given) but no one was there to answer the door so they will get him at his job. I was told he was being pursued by someone & I should call Glassman & Shultz Atty at Law. So I did. My call was answered at 1st ring & when I stated why I was calling he was very freely giving me the information as to what the legal documents were about. They had his ss # too. They told me my son should call them on Monday to settle the matter. This is definitely a scam of some kind.

Yes, it is a scam. Real process servers don't call in advance because then you could simply avoid them. They also don't give you the option to pay your way out of being served, which is what these scammers will tell you. Block and ignore such calls.

They said this was a courtesy call about serving me with legal documents and I could press 1 to speak to someone about the matter. Idiots asked for me by my former married name from 20 years ago. Haven't had that name in 20 years. Also don't have credit card debt or any past due debts of any kind.

I have received 3 calls so far. All different numbers. Same message. One call I answered by mistake. I hung up on them. A SCAM. They don't even have my correct name. They ask for my married name from 20 years ago.i said there is no one here by that name. They kept on talking and I hung up.  Also I have no debts of any kind, let alone credit cards. my daughter is an attorney and I will let her take the call if she is here next time. My friends husband is circuit judge so let them keep on, the idiots! I have one recording from them. If we can trace this down we'll have a great lawsuit. Then we can call them about something real. Our papers will be served without a courtesy call.

It's a scam. They can't even tell you what it's for and just say they will serve you papers at home or work. Jokes on them, I work from home AND I'm licensed to carry. Guess they don't like being threatened back.

I too spoke with someone from this number, claimed to be an attorney with Glassman and Schultz, said his name was Eric White i believe. He said i owed money to credit one bank for a card i opened and never paid on from a few years ago. i had actually forgotten about this card and i am very happy that i was contacted. at first i thought it was a scam because i had never heard of credit one before, the only credit card i had was through capital one which turned out to be financed by credit one. eric provided the number for the corporate office for credit one and they too verified that i did owe what was being told to me. i also recieved a statement in my email, providing the same exact information i was told by both glassman and schultz and credit one. they both had the same information. I had absolutely no problems with this company
