Said my claim came across his desk this morning. Somehow found my cell number but needed address to serve me a formal claim at my employer or home address. Sounds like scam.

Said my claim came across his desk this morning. Somehow found my cell number but needed address to serve me a formal claim at my employer or home address. Sounds like scam. Have one opportunity to make contact.

Guy called my cell phone and said he was serving me a claim at either my home or work address (he knew the address and actually the cars I own). I kept telling him I'm home and come on over, he kept saying I sound confused at why he was calling, so I said whatever it is we'll talk about it when you get here. He hung up abruptly and then left me a VM immediately afterwards. Maybe he's about to screw me over some way, all I know is this is a scam of some sort and they aren't getting any info out of me over the phone. I check accounts and credit quite often.

I just received 2 phone calls from this number within 2 days.  He said his name was Ray Lopez and he has a file that has come across his desk.  he says to contact "The Firm" at this number or he shall proceed to serve me at my address or place of business.  First of all, remember folks...Any legitimate collection company will attempt to contact you through your address with a letter.  They will also attempt to call you, however the difference is that they will IDENTIFY themselves and the company they are working for and/or representing.  Please note these scam artists are trying to collect on something that does not exist or you took care of it a long time ago...ALL THEY WANT IS YOUR MONEY!!  Don't fall victim
