- S.G.| 1 replyI called this Number # (877)-353-1157 . Because My Chromebook Laptop computer was frozen. With A "Hacker Alert". My Screen was Frozen and seemed to be from Microsoft. The person asked for payment to Install 'Fire Wall' Protection. He Identified himself as : Account Manager Dave Watson, Gave Me A Customer ID number, A Security Question and Gave Me An Answer for that Security Question. Because the Web Page that was "Frozen". Looked Authentic. I gave my Bank Account Info, My Home Address, My Cell Number and I Signed A Document to
Pay $539.99 for 5 years of "FireWall" Protection. He E-mailed this Document for me to sign. At the E-mail Address that he Asked for. Thereafter, I checked my Bank Account , but the $539.99 (so called purchase), was not on my Bank Account as Being Withdrawn or Pending. The time and day of this was about 6pm PST (Thurs) Aug.6,2020. The Person Did however, Guide me (Via my Cellphone) with Deleting My Browse History and Restoring My Internet Connection. Then Mr. Dave Watson Instructed me to check my E-mail. To Complete a Document to Pay for the "FireWall" Protection.- Caller: Microsoft ?
