Text message to my cellphone from 718-207-3191 asking to call back 1-877-353-5806 for a mortgage loan. Do not know how they got my number and started spamming me.

I also received a text message to my cellphone from 718-207-3191 asking to call back 1-877-353-5806 for a mortgage loan. Do not know how they got my number and started spamming me.

Same issue - received a text message to my cellphone from 848-468-8081 asking to call back 1-877-353-5806 for a mortgage loan.

Received a spam text message from them (13473013761) about a pre-approved mortgage, call 1-877-353-5806.  I pay for each text message so it's annoying to pay for spam.

My call came from 631-327-7341.  Also unsolicited, unwanted and annoying!

Received a text to my cell today about a mortgage approval. The call back number was 1-877-890-0038. I called it back and was given a voice mailbox to leave a message on.

The company calls itself "Liberty Mortgage Lender". The text was received from 917-443-8699.

I'm in the same boat of paying for text messages, so this is HIGHLY unacceptable. What can we do?

This is how you get back at those scammers:

Call their toll-free number (1-866... or 1-888... or 1-800...) from a PUBLIC PHONE booth.

Why? Because everytime they take such a call, they have to pay at least $0.50 to the phone company of the public phone booth! Also, it will make them stop if it
starts to cost themtoo much.

Please do the same, because this is what you get out of it: they pay you to hear your complaints! The more you call, the more they have to pay!    

The number they gave me was 1-888-336-3169 - and I called this number today at least 20-30 times... That costs them at least $10 to $15 - and probably much more, because the $0.50 that these scammers have to pay for each call is the minimum amount. It can be as high as $0.75 per call.
