Was told they were the IRS and I was going to be arrested for non-payment. I knew it was BS but called this number back. I wasn't aware that our country had IRS agents with Indian accents... they hung up on me.

I got the same call, when the automated voice repeated the phone number back to call them they got the number wrong. Very professional.

Received  a call from 1-877-353-6657 telling me it was my final notice from IRS. informed that the IRS is issuing me a lawsuit for fraud on my part and that I will be arrested. Did not call the number back. Will try calling the listed IRS number for advice.

Fake IRS call now using computer generated speech.  IRS does not call taxpayers directly over tax issues.

The IRS will send several letters through the mail before anyone will try and contact you by phone, don't worry over it

These idiots don't even repeat the number to call back correctly, why do these scammers even exist, why can't this be stopped? The US could hunt down these people but they don't, very annoying
