877-357-9690

A friend of mine received a message on his/her answering machine today from the number 877-357-9690. The man left a message stating that he was serving me papers, that I was to appear in court on November 23, and that he would be at my place of employment or home to serve me papers. In my opinion, this is a threatening phone call. I have never spoke to anyone or received any letters about why I was receiving this phone call. According to my rights, a collection agency can not by law leave any type of message on anyone's answering machine. Does anyone else have any idea who these people are??

I recieved the same kind of phone call...saying they were serving me with papers. Is supposedly on their way to my place of work or home today. Are they serious? Did anyone ever show up and serve you with papers?
