called twice in a row no message

Received  calls from this phone number on about three or four consecutive days. One day received a call from this number more than once. Never answered until today. I didn't say a word. After about five seconds, I heard a hangup click on the other end. I heard from another source a trick about possibly getting these specific phone calls to be discontinued. That is, answer the phone call by pressing the pound (#) key. Don't say anything after pressing the pound key. Tried this on other toll free and unknown calls that I received and it seemed like they didn't happen from those specific phone numbers anymore. Hope this information helps others.

I am so tired of these people calling me everyday I wish they would stop

Calling everyday from direct tv

Get calls from this number nearly every day. Sometimes as many as 4 a day. Really annoying. I don't answer but still I wish they would just give up. If it's direct tv, I've already told them " no" many times.

Yep calls at least every day. I'm going to start answering it and hanging up immediately. Maybe they'll get the message.

Hanging up doesnt work. Ignoring the call doesnt work. Yelling at them doesnt work. They simply call back again and again, every day, sometimes 2 or 3 times a day. Usually in the evening. Direct TV sucks and I would never give them another dime of my money, after this.

I never answer "unknown" calls anymore. They're almost always telemarketers or charities (I pick the ones I give to and never give to the ones who call to pester me). I'm on the do not call lit. You can see how well that works - not.

If it's DirecTv, I discontinued service a couple years ago. They keep calling to get me to sign back up. I've told them no thanks please quit calling, I'll call when I want to sign back up. I've blocked this number and other numbers they have called from before. Seems they don't get the message. As a matter of fact, seems like the number of calls has increased. It doesn't ring through anymore  but I get a notification that there was a blocked call. So annoying.

They say they are DirectTV, but they are not.  Early on, I called this number back, actually got someone, and told them to take my number off their calling list.  They said they would, but the calls kept coming.  Two a day for the past thirty days (at least).  I have filed a complaint on this number with the FTC and FCC.  I have the number blocked but my phone still records it as a blocked call.  I called them today and got put on terminal hold.  So finally,  I called ATT/DirectTV's 800 number to register a complaint.  They said it is not a DirectTV number and will be taking action against whoever it is.  Jeez o weez leweez...

I answer when I can and they just hang up. Why are you bothering me??? Empty air.

I have asked DTV to be removed from their call list at least a dozen times. I have the number blocked. They always find another number to call from. They are NOT allowed to call anymore as it has been too long since I have had an account affiliated with them. They are in violation of the law now, yet they refuse to remove my number and keep calling. They need to crack down on them with a multi billion dollar lawsuit and put them out of business.
