Received a text on my cell asking me to call back. I did and they asked for my credit crad number and expiration then hanged up.

They are NOT Chase. I also got similar message and then called REAL Chase. This number is NOT associated with Chase. They are crooks. Immediately block your account.

i had the same texed message that my account was locked up that i had to enter my account # . absolutely NOT  what do you think i'm stupid.

I just received the same text message on my cell phone. I am now on hold with Chase and obviously everyone is getting these messages because they are experiencing unsual wait times.

Same story here- so how do these fraudsters know who has a chase account?

Same here - it was a text from "Chase" on my cell phone. I called back, then saw these messages and hung up.

I just got the same txt about 20 mins ago.  Clearly it was fraudulent so I didn't call the number...  But, I'm also curious as to how these fraudsters know who they're targeting...

I received the following text message:

from CHASE.  Not a sales
message. Please call

immediately about
recent activity on your
account. Thank y
From: 3853"

Thanks to these posts I did not return the call.

I decided to dial the number: 1-877-362-4032 just
to tell them that I do not have a Chase account.
A recorder came on and said that this number has
been disconnected and is no longer in service.

Thank you all for posting here. I received the message this morning. As a rule, I always verify the number in some way, before giving them back any information. But the crooks are getting more and more sophisticated so there is always a chance to slip. So I found this site, you guys saved me some time and possibly a headache. Thanks!

On 5/22 I got the same exact text as Roland G. I called Chase today to see if it was fraudulent or valid, the fraud dept couldn't even tell me.  They just said disregard the text and sent me over to accounts to see if there was indeed a problem with my account. I was very disappointed that they were not even aware of this as obviously there is info on this if it's all over the internet.

I received the messasge  on my cell about recent activity on my Chase card.  The e:mail address was interesting.  It was automatic@chaseonline.chase.com.   When I went into a Chase page, not the same!
