A guy named Mathew Mills left a message for us "regarding a project at a local country club" He named the country club.  I called him back and starts telling me that they put together a private magazine (Golf Journal of Minnesota) for the 5 biggest country clubs in the era and that they are looking for two companies in our field to be represented in this magazine.  It sounds like a great idea and the pricing is great almost to great.  I told him I needed to talk to a couple other people in the office and would call him back.  I pushed the other people in our office pretty hard on it because it sounded like a great deal and our exact target market.  Just before I called Mathew back I decided to call one of the country clubs that this would be distributed at.
They had know idea what I was talking about they didn't know the company or the magazine.  I then called two other country clubs on his list and talked to three different people at each of the clubs including the general manager at both and they had know idea who this company was either.
In fact the last two assured me they would be following up with the Attorney generals office for using their name in his scam.

Had the same experience in Delaware.  Glad I did further research.  Guess it's true what they say, if it seems to good to be true it probably is!

Same here...a guy named Kevin Buchanan left a message saying he was from a local country club, that he had a couple of questions about my services.

I'm not even going to waste my time calling him back.

We too have recieved numerous if not an over obundance of calls not by just one representative but several in the last few days from this company, Coast to Coast. We checked on them last years when they were advertising for several of the courses here locally. They too also reported this scam and we have begun once again recieving calls. The director of operations there is a very aggressive, disrespectfu, uncoperative and a defensive individual. They cold call from the use of phone book listings and his suggestion was to stop using the phone book listings.We will be filing complaints. please also note that hs retort was that he himself would go online and file a blog about our company due to our requests an put out a bad word about us.

We, too, just received a call from Coast to Coast, Jason left a message for the owner to call him back about our interior design work at a local country club.  I'm glad I did some investigating before passing the message on to the owner.  I won't waste her time!

Yep, just like described before but Steve Shell(according to his message) called on his cell phone 561-637-0498 registered to Margaret Hoffron. He left the message to return the call to 877-370-0077. Don't waste your time!!!

Voice mail asking about our installation services for a local country club. Sounded like he wanted us to do some work for him. It's the 2nd call like this I have gotten this month supposedly with publications in high end developments. Price sounded great, but it was strange that they were only in one of 4 of the Cliffs Communities. If you are approved for one, you are going to distribute in all.
