A Scammer called our business pretending to be from Xcel Energy demanding payment over the phone. Heavy accented dude asking for the manager or supervisor. Set the phone on the desk until he hung up. He called back about five minutes later saying it was a courtesy call before they shut off the power. I told him to go _____ himself! The number 877-372-8477 is listed as belonging to Duke Energy in Orlando FL. Our business is nowhere near FL!! Our account is up to date

This is scam alert, Guy with an strong accent call telling my power will be shut off of 24h and I need to call number to pay for turning it back on. SCAMERS!!

Scam. Have been called twice now by this person demanding payment for an energy bill .They said they are duke energy but I have TECO, so they aren't even good at scamming people, lol. Told him to f#*k off. Called mt energy co. and they said they do not call making threats to shut off power.

Received a call demanding payment for an electric bill that has not been paid.  Was told they would shut the electric off in 25 mins.  I told the person we had High Point Utilities, not Duke Energy.  He said he was affiliated with High Point Utilities and we owe $600.00 today.   I told him forget it and hung up

Automated phone call stating they were Duke Energy and our power would be cut off within 30 minutes unless we call the number back. Do not talk to these people they are scammers!

These people call every other week saying they are Duke Energy and they have not been paid.  I don't know who they are but they tell us power will becutoff in 30 minutes.

Called business repeatedly left voicemail to call or power will be shut off in 30 min unless 400$ paid

Was called and told that my power was being shut off in 25 minutes as had not replaced the unintelligible as was not up to code

Heavily accented Caller stated he was from Duke energy and our power box was not up to code. He said they would be coming in 25 minutes to shut off the power. He did not ask for payment. The call was disconnected.

Both myself, and 90 year old neighbor received calls from this entity, we hung up...she did not. She is very gullible and became alarmed,,thus calling  us to come help her pay her bill over the phone with Duke Power..mind you, her bill had just arrived in the mail a weeks before. She doesn’t have caller ID..I wish like hell something could be done about these spammers. Their like leeches that won’t go away.
