So, Byron P, trina peters, and Shanon O'connor, all decided to lookup this number on the internet, come to a complaints website, and write a glowing review, about a debt collector who, judging by many of the posts violates the FDCPA?  No one believes you, shill?

Tsk, tsk .... The "only notice you will receive" has no "mini Miranda", no discussion of a thirty day dispute window, and a supposed payment deadline ten days from the notice date, which of course is made shorter by USPS delivery time. That would be Exhibit 'A' in my FDCPA lawsuit for the easiest win of my courtroom career.

My reply, for reasons stated above:

Not So Dear Merlin & Lackeys:

As I do not recognize this alleged debt and your recent demand letter fails to meet the requirements of FDCPA §1692g, I refuse to pay. I furthermore demand the sum of $n,nnnn, payable to my name and sent to my above address in settlement. Payment must be postmarked by dd Mmm 2016 to avoid escalation to Federal court, where I will ensure that you pay several times more in damage awards and legal fees. This is the only offer of settlement you will receive. Govern yourselves accordingly.

(The demand figure depends on how angry I am. I've been known to be three-grand angry and extract still more.)

    NoMore"EdRusso"EdManzo
My fiancé got the same call last Wednesday, saying he was with Wells Fargo Bank when he contacted her step-mother. Then got her number to her work and said he was Ed Russo with Merlin and Associates, LLC our of California. Since then we have told him to stop contacting her at work, (which he refuses to do, even saying he won't stop calling her) which is a violation of the FFDCPA blatantly. Also, after I told him I talked with the Attorney General's office of Arkansas telling them what he was doing and so forth, they told me it sounded like a scam. At the end of our conversation (where he was yelling "it's not a scam" and "I'm going to file charges in court", I told him to stop contacting my fiancé at work or we would file harassment charges. The next day he calls to her work posing as the Arkansas District Attorney, gets hung up on and calls right back claiming to be Ed Russo. (same lady got both calls, lol, which is a good witness for our side). Needless to say, I have filed a complaint with the CFPB, Attorney General's Office of Arkansas, a complaint with the Anaheim Police Department and also found out that his real name is "Ed Manzo". Found him on Facebook too. BAM! Two can play the game Ed. Hope you read this post and realize that you are revealing yourself. Don't worry, you have messed with the wrong fiancé.
