We received a call today from 877-382-9051 saying we have a Chase Mastercard past due for $19,000. He said the account was up for collections and we would have to get a lawyer if we didn't settle the account on the phone

These jokers had the audacity to call my brother's cell. He texted me their phone number and when I called, they didn't even state their company name, just some girl answered and when I gave her the name Tim Bowers, she transferred me to him and he proceeded to ask a bunch of personal questions without identifying himself or company or why he called. Then he told me that I owed some outrageous amount of money 16,000!!! WTF I politely went off on him...told him that I didn't owe any money, and not to call me anymore. I will be filing a complaint with the FTC and Consumer Protection Agency. Even if I had a credit card debt...who the !@#$% would give any regular person a limit of 16,000 and if they are professing that the balance is because of interest...that too would be bull spit. you are not allowed to charge excessive fees to a charge off debt.

she also called me from that Virginia number and sent me a letter - her rudeness was extraordinary - she even said that i was going to go to court and that she would be there present.  have you heard anymore from her or did you get summond to court for what ever she was calling you about?

Got a call from "Ron Howard" for my husband's supposed debt. He used terms like "warrant for your husband's arrest" and also used a bunch of legal terms inappropriately. He sounds very ignorant and was the first red flag. I said I would take down his number and then 2 minutes later he called back and pretended not to be the same person but now he was the attorney for this collection agency hired by chase bank. What gets me is he thinks he is fooling people with his claim to be a lawyer but he sounds so uneducated and ghetto. I said "Send me the paperwork". And hung up. I'm sure Amelia will be calling next. Scammers.

Caller states he is w/ multistate recovery & that I have 2 pending felony fraud charges and I need to work something out w/ them in order to keep this from turning into a warrant in my local county.  I had already looked them up and found that they were the fraud & proceeded to tell him so.  He got upset and said not to believe what was on the internet, etc, etc

Same thing happened to me today! Brian Jones called my job and said the police were going to come for me, he then told me my social and dob because he had "my file" and said he was an investigator for Chase, said that I was being sued for fraud!

Total scam.You can not be arrested for a credit card debt or any debt in your name.Having a debt is not fraud unless you used another person's SSN DOB and name without their consent. These calls are a joke and the debt they called me about was for my Dad and they gave me all his info illegally and it was from 2008 !!! Better check your calendar guys it's pushing 2018 in 6 months and that debt was out of statute in Delaware like 5 or more yrs ago.

Received a call from a Mrs Baker saying that we had a pending legal matter and threatened legal action but after investigating and refusing to give aNY personal information it seems like Multi State recovery company is a total scam.

BEWARE OF THESES VULTURES.
Multi- State Recovery Strikes again. The women who handling my call tried all the tricks with me. Once I asked her to send her to send a validation notice, she voided to answer and continued to demand things of me. Nope
