This company did not deal with us in good faith.  They placed a garnishment against my bank account and would not discuss it with me because they did not have a garnishment against me.  They have my money but I am not an interested party.  HA!  The person whom they had a garnishment against, got a loan and paid them in full in return for their agreement that they would release the hold on my bank account.  The list of problems here:  they never attempted to garnish the correct person's pay or bank accounts, my bank account funds held include pension funds which are not legal to attach, they served no notice to me that they were attaching my account and though their court order had the correct address for the party they were garnishing they intentionally had the papers served at an old address where that party had not lived for three years.  They now are claiming they need fees in excess of $1200 and will still not release my bank account.  After agreeing to release their hold on the bank funds, I feel the demand for more money is extortion and I am only an innocent by-stander!

Make sure you insist they fax or email you the terms of any agreement for settlement before ever releasing funds to these people.  DO NOT release funds in any form to them until you have what you need to protect yourself!  Complaints against these people can be filed at the court where the judgment was issued and online at the site for Michigan's attorney general.  Also, if you find they did not do their due diligence in attaching your funds, you can send a complaint to the Government Accounting Office and the Federal Reserve.  The electronic funds transfers have to be processed through the Federal Reserve.  If they commit fraud against you and you have made payment with a credit/debit card carrying a MasterCard/Visa logo you can contact the credit card's fraud division

I am a senior citizen with cancer and diabetes and they DO NOT care.  I owe these people nothing and yet they are holding funds which I use for medical treatment and medication.

We fought wars to protect our rights and these Nazi like tactics need to be stopped!

Most likely this group.   A high-volume law office specializing in filing lawsuits to collect debts.  They do go to court.

If you have been served with valid legal papers concerning a lawsuit, make sure you answer it within the alloted time.  Failure to do so could lead to a default judgment against you.

They do garnish wages when they can.
