Your description of the calls your mom received is identical to the calls my mom received today.

I'm getting the same call...
Dear customer this is the call from Amazon customer support to confirm your last order of $200.00 gift card ordered from your Amazon account your account seems to be compromised Please call 8773868146  immediately to verify and cancel the charge to get the money refunded back.

I received a voicemail just now from this number stating the same thing about my Amazon account and a suspicious gift card purchase. Clearly a scam.

I confirmed with Amazon it is a scam.

Call from Amazon to confirm your last order of $200.00 gift card ordered from your account your account... Hung up and blocked number form future calls.  Clearly a scam

2 messages left on machine to call this number for a refund. Sounds like a scam.

Same number, same message left on our machine like the others.   This is a call from Amazon and your card has been compromised and you need to call 877-386-8146 to cancel immediately.

Same call here. Bogus scam.

same story for me
