- robertI have had the same experience every day for 2 years and sometimes they call 5 or 6 times in one day., I have told them my name is Robert and not Steven and it doesn't phase them. I am on the do not call list and I have filed complaints. I have filled out forms and called the Federal Trade Commission and sent emails to the Att Gen of my state. None of it has had any effect. Any law enforcement officials that have not thrown these crooks in jail must be thrown in jail themselves. Does anyone know Eric Holder's home phone number so we can all call him all night long to get him to throw these criminals in jail???!!!!

- CricketThey too have been spamming my cell phone trying to collect a debt I do not owe. Today was the first time I actually heard a message from a real person. They asked my voice mail if I was a company I've never heard of. If they collect for AT&T how the hell do they have my cell phone number? If their collecting from a company then why would they call a personal cell phone from Boost Mobile? I'm going to head over to the national don not call list website and register. Perhaps this is a scam of some sort?

- rwnew number 1-866-637-0271 Lynn left the message that everyone else got on my prepaid disposable cellphone. Call back to the number on hold for more than 1/2 hour and finally gave up. Have NO debt to anyone and a credit score of 820. My saving grace is that after my minutes expire I can just throw it away and start over!

- miss iowaI just started getting these calls this week. The latest number is 800-807-7809. I got the same message stating they were required by law to let me know the were a debt collection agency and that any information the obtained would be used for the purpose of collecting a debt. Only person calling me said her name was Sheila Taylor. The call never once referenced my name. I pay all my bills on time every month and have not received anything in the mail saying i owe anyone any debts. By law a collection agency has to send you write notices of the collection. After reading all of this comments it sounds to me like nothing but a scam. Obviously these have nothing better to do with their time but sit around calling people and harassing them all day long.

- HoosierI received a call today which showed up 'unavailable' on my called ID. It was a recording. I waited several seconds and a female came on and asked to speak with my son. My son is 30 years old and lives in another state. The female said she was calling from NCL Financial. She wanted my son's phone number. I told her I did not know his number, but I would take a message.
She said he was to call 800-485-2202 (ext. 5840) and speak with her about a debt. I have no idea how she got my phone number which is only 2 months old. My son has no outstanding debts nor do I. I resent this NCL group calling me at home. How'd they get my number? How do they know my son's name?- Caller: NCL Financial

- TammyI got calls on my cell phone--with messages telling me to call a Matt Harris at # 1-800-883-0613.
I waited some time before calling back because I saved the message on my cell and didn't listen to it again until it was ready to be deleted. I finally called but I gave them my house phone number; which they also had on file. Funny- they have both of my phone numbers ( house and cell) on file for a person I have never heard of, but I can not find out if any other information of mine is on file. Apparently, the person that listed both of my phone numbers (MY NUMBERS) has rights. I do not...have any RIGHT to ask if any other personel information of mine is on file. Imagine that ! A person can take your information but they have they right to also keep it fidden from us as well. This really makes my blood boil to think that I have no right to my information someone else may have used. What is this world coming too.- Caller: NCL Financial

- hollywood-momthe thing is they are calling for my ex-husband. i am plenty angry but not out for revenge. i will probably never get any child support out of him, but i definitely will not if i give them any information about him. the fact of the matter is that i do not have an address for him. on the first call i told them they had the wrong number. the woman asks do you know him. i answered that they had the wrong number. she got really indignant about me not answering the question. i did not want to lie. i took her message. then they called back the next day. i just called them back and told them this is not his number and he does not live with me. they ask if i have an address or phone number for him and i said no.

- DonnaI am in Canada Receiving the same calls at my work (with Canadian Government!!!) and at home. Even my mother gets calls, same last name, same address and they are non stop. Messages as above leaving a case # I can't understand. Most recent one leaves a website too. In Canada they don't say it's a Debt collector (maybe they are not bound by law here)- they make it sound like they are managing your money and have important news for you! I am on the no-call list registration but that doesn't matter. They call all hours of day and all days of week. The number changes all the time. What a pain in the A$$. I wish someone had a solution!

- recepientI received one of these, and it was because another person with the same first name last name as me had outstanding medical bills for their daughter, whose name I didn't recognize. The actually asked if I was <enter firstname and lastname>, did not ask for any personal information, only confirming my name (first and last only), and then when I indicated I didn't recognize the chil'ds name, and defintiely wasn't mine, they removed the association. As someone with a very popular very generic name, this can happen when other run out on their bills, and the debt agencies are just calling anyone on the lists to try to recoup. Hoping now I won't get another call, at least for Zahera (or however they spell it).
- ShellyI live in Canada and these guys keep calling me too. from 1-866-742-5318 and 1-866-221-7959. Keep leaving messages with a reference number that's barely audible. I called today, hung around on hold for a few minutes then a woman comes on and says she will be right back. So I waited a few minutes longer and she did the same thing. I got annoyed and hung up concerned that i would be charged by the minute.
