They called and left a message that they were calling me again with important business that I need to call them back before 8pm tonight.  First off, I have not received a call from them before that I ever know of.  Second, I'm pretty sure it's a bill collector trying to sound scary. They do not leave their company name, this one message was from "Robert".

Bill collectors are not scam artists - if you owe money, perhaps you should answer your phone and pay your debt..........??

I know for a fact these people are scam artist, they are listed in the KY Attorney Generals office fraud alert.....They try to intimidate you and scare you when in fact all you have to do is the following:
    1) please mail me a statement
    2) Ask them to provide you with their last known address
    3) Inform them its against the law to call you after you tell them not to

If they do not follow any of the above instructions, contact the police and file a harassment charge....If they are truly debt collectors (which these people are not) they will comply with the law.

And to any of the people who are making these calls: [***] YOU -Your children will pay for your sins...

Total fraud. They called with their bullsh!t spew but didn't know my name. These fools are mining for info (SSN, CC numbers, etc.), so just hang up or threaten violence and then hang up. Also, if they continue to harass, plug your telephone line into the port on your computer. Then input their number and adjust the settings to retry until a connection is made. They won't be able to call anyone else and will more than likely remove your number from their scam database.

I received a phone call from 877 395 8339 today asking for someone whom I do not know. This has been occuring for about 8 months and after each call, I file a complaint with Donotcall.gov. I can confirm the caller is a debt collector and I can also confirm they are below average intelligence. Further, I can confirm that the person this debt collector is looking for, "Yolanda Jones", apparently has some bills to pay.

These people keep calling me over a debt they say I owe from a school I left more than 11 years ago. They keep talking to me like I owe something. I think they are just trying to get some money out of me. I thought they were real debt collectors so I verified all my personal information a few months ago, now they are showing on my most recent credit report like I just enrolled in University of Phoenix and dropped out of school and owe them thousands from 2011. This is impossible since I enrolled in another college in 2008 and will be graduating from the same college in 2013. Now I am going through sending letters to credit agencies trying to clear myself of this debt that had been wrongfully placed under my name. WHATEVER YOU DO, DONT VERIFY ANYTHING WITH THIS COMPANY, THESE PEOPLE ARE DOING SOME ILLEGAL STUFF! AND IT WILL HARM YOU CREDIT!

They've been calling my cell phone and sending me letters on my former "married" last name.  They say I owe Walmart who apparently then sold to "Worldwide Asset Purchasing II LLC" to now ARS.  My former Walmart debt was paid off at $232.00 but now ARS is saying its "$1000.00".  Seriously?! I paid this off 5 years ago and have my confirmation paperwork.  Thank goodness I can dispute this pile of crap!

I'm a bill collector and THESE guys are definitely scam artists. Check your state laws. More often than not these people are trying to collect on a debt that's beyond the statue of limitations.  Consult a lawyer and Google before you say anything.
