Received voice message from Travis saying he has very good news - my entry in the $25,000 Fall Cash Giveaway has been selected and to call 877-406-0247 x747. Travis did not ask for an explicit person and did not volunteer a company's name. Hesitant to return call as it smells of a scam...

Ahhh man Travis   why are you giving my money to Apprehensive?  Shame on you Travis!

Called with GREAT NEWS, I was selected for the 25,000 cash Give a way, call Travis at ext. 747. When I called back, they said it says here your married and between the ages of 40-70. When I was asking, "what?" We got disconnected. Tried calling back and got a answering machine.

I got a call from Travis today.   Didn't answer the call.   Won't be returning the call either.

Travis called me too! Left a message for me to call him at 877-406-0247 x747.  Said I won the $25,000 Fall Cash Giveaway from entering a sweepstakes at any number of businesses.

I just received a vague message from "Travis" as an automated message, where his extension is 747. Will not be returning the call, especially since I don't submit my name to random contests!

Yeah, just don't call back. I received the exact same call, 2nd message now that's been left on different days.

Travis has my number too! He also offered me $25,000. Hmm....

Travis called me too.  Tried to call back but just kept ringing and ringing. Not calling back and not falling for it

25K scam like all the rest

Travis called and left message stating I won $25,000 in some drawing. They left the number with ext 747. When you call it goes directly into a message and to press your parties extension. The voice mail gives no additional information.

Yep, Travis called me as well.  Has left 2 messages on my mysterious win.

You called me too Travis. If I submitted an entry, then you know where to send the to! I'll be waiting!

Travis called and left a VM stating I may have won 25K in their fall cash give away. I do NOT enter contests so I have no idea how they got my number I will not be returning this call 877-406-0247 Ex 747

This is how I submitted my complaint to the FTC:
I transcribed the recorded voicemail because a quick Google search of the # I'm supposed to call shows that this is a pretty busy scam this month, so I thought it might help:

"Hi, this is Travis! I'm calling  with our $25,000 fall cash giveaway in regards to a contest entry submitted in your name to win $25,000 in cash. It may have been submitted at a local mall, a restaurant, or some kind of event you may have attended. I have excellent news for you; your entry has been selected! Contact me at your earliest convenience, toll free, 877-406-0247. Again, my name is Travis, my extension is 747. Congratulations and have a great day."

Notice in the text of the VM they never mention a specific name, so it doesn't seem to matter who the # belongs to. That was hint 1 that it was a scam.

Recorded message from a man named Travis.  Very vague about a $25,000 giveaway - stated my entry was selected - but didn't specify what I had won and/or how much I had won.  Very certain it's a scam.

Wow, how many people can win $25,000?  Obviously not this many, so I will not return Travis call either.  Besides that, I don't enter to win sweepstakes because they always want my e-mail address on the entry form and I already receive way too many e-mails.
