Mine was a recorded message wanting me to enter my date of birthday. Sounds fishy to me.

Somehow they got my number and information pertaining to my Crohn's disease. I didn't send away for anything so I don't know how they got this info.

This is the CVS specialty pharmacy. It's where my chemo meds come from. They fulfill controlled medications that can't be produced/dispensed from a local pharmacy. Just like your doctor must ask for your birthday when checking in, this call will request birthday to confirm identify.

I get this call monthly when it's time to renew the medication.

I just got a call from this number and it comes up unknown. I'm tired of this harassment from lame hackers who have nothing better to do than interfere in our lives with these ridiculous calls!!! I want them to stop now!!! No one should have to keep getting these crazy calls!! why won't the authorities do anything about this!!!!

This is a reminder call that you get if you have to take specialty meds, like cancer, ms, or any other one of the more serious illnesses.  They just tell you it's time for a refill.

This is a speciality med call..I know the asking for the birthday was one I jung up on first too..its for an asthma med for me.

This is a legit # it is CVS Specialty Pharmacy. They call to verify and / or notify the person and mailing information they have is correct. My husband receives medication via overnight and they need to be sure someone will be home to receive it as they cannot leave it unless someone is there to receive it.

This number, and a few others, belongs to CVS Specialty Care Pharmacy.  They use a number that is attached to the person they are calling until that person returns their call.  If you have been told by your physician that you need a certain drug (or drugs) that regular pharmacies cannot make then you have a need for the Specialty Care Pharmacy. They only call you if your physician has contacted them regarding any medications he/she wants you to take but cannot be obtained via a regular pharmacy such as CVS, etc. and, if you have been taking a medication and need your next refill.  It is NOT a hacker nor is it a telemarketer or random sales call.  They don't do that type of thing, they only provide medication to patients.  They won't call you or supply you with any medications unless and until they are contacted by your physician.  If you get a call from CVS Specialty Care Pharmacy, make sure you stay on the line long enough to speak to a pharmacy technician and/or pharmacist to see what medication they are talking about and which physician ordered it.  If it absolutely doesn't concern you in anyway, please stay on the line to tell them that and they will remove your number and notify the physician.

Also make sure your physician(s) have your correct phone number.

That makes sense, kind of, I was denied medication through my insurance that costs $9,000 per pill available through cvs, it would be nice if someone in control changed their mind. Maybe that was the one call I shouldn't have missed.

Automated message about prescriptions being ready.

It's a legitimate caller.  Definitely CVS Caremark.

THey keep calling for the last 6 month.I finally took the phone call. I was pissed that someone gave them my name and phone number. INam taking a twice yearly inj.For osteoporosis,never dealt with CVS. Now I like to find out how they got my tel.number. is there nothing private anymore.

I received a call from 602-150-6541 that left me a message saying it was CVS specialty and to call back at this number.  When I googled the original number that called me only 2 results came up and one was in Russian.  There is a scam going on here...beware.

This is not a scam. CVS Specialty is legit. They carry drugs not stocked or infrequently stocked by pharmacies.I receive a cancer treatment drug from them that area pharmacies, even competitors, do not stock.

Well, yippee for your supply chain. This does not explain the minority of remarks here from those who had no reasonable expectation of calls from CVS. The repeated claims of legitimacy here do not rule out the chance of some fraud shop spoofing CVS, or of CVS itself abusing its own "trusted" phone number to make covert sales calls under a blanket of "notifications" and "reminders".

Recorded message about unsolicited medical equipment.  Wanted me to say “yes” or “no.”  Definitely a phishing scam
