Claims to be a private investigator and needs to serve papers, quoted an address that belongs to a family member and I never live there. Total [***]

Had a private investigator come to my door today. I didn't know what it was about until I signed for the paperwork...now I have a hearing on Thursday. I'm trying to work it out to avoid the legal fees. Apparently, they had been mailing me letters, which I ignored so they're taking action against me.

No court hearing would be scheduled that quickly.  What is the name and address of the company suing you?  Are you telling the truth?  Remember it is not in your best interest to lie.  You will be exposed as a fraud and will suffer great humiliation.
