    Anyone get a call from these people? Stating they need the location of so and so and per the authorities they can contact references? I don't owe any bad debt so thinking this is a scam!

    It is.  Most likely a debt scamming operation.  The "authorities" have nothing to do with private debts .  Simply ignore and block the calls.
