Got this call on my cell phone - didn't even register on my call log - went right to voice mail. They weren't looking for me, but for my wife stating that it was "imperative" that she calls back or face financial repercussions. Just left a number and no company name. Who is this? Sounds like a scam!

Rude called my work my cousin in another state and my I'll step mother. Was rude and hateful to them. I called he was very rude jerk wanted personal information I hung up asking to contact me by certified mail if so important

OK. These people are getting a bit aggressive here. I was hoping that my post on 9/30 was it, but NO! They called my cell phone last night and since I have this number blocked it went right to voice mail and YES, they left a voice mail message stating that they are calling that they are investigating a matter in which my wife was implicated for and "which seems to be  a little out of character" for her. They then proceeded to leave the same voice mail message on our home phone. My neighbor called me and aid that he got the same message on his cell phone. How did they get my cell number, not my wife's and how did they get my neighbor's cell phone number? I will be reporting these people to the FTC for phone abuse/harassment! Ridiculous!

DEid the scammers mention your name?
If not, then they are simply dialing every possible telephne number hoping to get someone who is easy-to-scare to believe them and send them money. As many people screen their calls with answering machines - or aren't at home, or let calls from unfamiliar numbers go to voice mail, the scammers are trying new numbers.

No,,actually they mention my wife's name. Funny thing is her cell phone is under my name. I forgot to mention earlier that they called my son's cell phone 3 times  which is also under my name, and left messages for her to call. They have not yet once called my wife's cell. Even stranger they called my neighbor's cell looking for her. You are likely correct hoping that they would intimidate someone who might send them money.
