Person called, said that they had been given a file regarding a hot check, and left message stating that they would proceed to serve me on my job or at my place of residence. Then, at the end of the call, I was informed that I this was my notice that I "had been served."

Funny thing is that I don't have any hot checks out b/c I don't write checks. When I called the number left for me in the message, I reached a remediation company called Titan Group. So, I can only assume that this is regarding a loan I took out about a year ago but haven't been able to pay back due to a worsening financial situation. Since it is a loan & no checks have ever been written, they are a bill collector, and they will continue getting my voicemail until I can afford to pay them back.

I just received the same call, only it was about my husband who has been completely disabled now for almost 2 years.  What a horrible scare tactic to use!!!  Any company who has notified us by mail has been notified of the situation and most have been reasonable, but since this outfit is so deceptive, I will not return the call.  I will look into the legality of this tactic and report to whomever will listen to stop this abuse!!!

I received a call "unknown" leaving this number as a client callback number.  Left the name of Scott Ryan, and he was going to serve my husband with court summons for bad check, but I could call the client and resolve this today.  I'm not sure this is even a legal tactic in Nevada as the caller left this information about my husband on my cell phone!! Most legitimate companies won't even tell you what they're calling about unless they have verified your identity.

OK - I received a call from this number today also, threatening the same thing- coming to my home or work "you have been served"  Funny thing, they left the full message on a voice mail that does NOT state my name and they have my name incorrect!  I am so angry that I will not return the call.
