He needed to talk to him about decision that had to be made. If he didn't return his call he would make the decision on his behalf by Nathan. He left a the cell phone number that I googled, which brought me to this page.

- Barry S Bernstein| 2 repliesReceived a call from a Jerry Peshman. He stated he is calling from Credit Control and named a credit card that my girlfriend owed money on. I recognized that particular account. I authorized credit control to withdraw $100.00. Today, May 2nd 2014 I received a call on my home answering machine from Mr Peschman advising m that my payment was returned. I couldn't understand why the bank would refuse payment because here were funds to cover in the checking account. WHen I checked I almost fell off he chair. Credit Control made an effort to withdraw $9364.78 from my account.
I called the bank to verify this information. Which by the way my bank charged me thirty dollars for a rerun fee.
I contacted Credi Control and spoke with someone other other than Jerry Peshman. I am a retired police lieutenant here in New York. I advised the individual whom I spoke with that his tactics are criminal, Federal in fact, as a result of attempting to withdraw much more money than authorized. I believe since two states are involved, possibly wire fraud and the federal equivalent to larceny. I advised the individual on the phone that I was going to report his agency to the FBI for investigation..
For all who reads this post.. for your info if you are not aware. In 1977 while I was sitting in the gallery of U.S.
Congress, Congress passed a law against debt collectors harassing people in any form. So be aware that you do not have to be submitted to their bullying tactics.. I reamed this guy a new A--hole… I further advised him that I am attempting to collect a debt that his company will reimburse me the thirty dollar bank fee.. I am going to contact the FBI and FTC and make formal complaints.. Saga to be continued.. Good luck to everyone..- Caller: Credit Control

- Sara replies to Barry S BernsteinTHANK YOU. You've saved many of us from some major (and dire) consequences. Gitmo sounds like a good place for these frauds.........
- Mike MI received a call from "Leo" stating that my company owed $1500 for yellow pages advertising. This was news to me. I asked for documentation and was told that he could provide it, but then I would lose the opportunity for a favorable settlement. However, if I was willing to pay today via credit card WITHOUT receiving documentation, they would reduce the amount owed by half. What a joke! These jerks belong in prison.

- anonymousOut of nowhere an agency called Credit Collect has started calling my home and work #s for debt collection. I am not behind on any bills. Calls up, verifies my name & address & wants last 2 digits of my SS# & then will tell me what this is about. I told them not to call me at work, I am not behind in any of my debts and they are not getting my SS#. Again, today a recording is asking for me. They call from a 314# and this 877#. The only thing I can think of is that they bought an old debt from a bankruptcy & are trying to collect. Couple of weeks ago I went on line to find information on loans for debt consolidation & am wondering if this is the result.

- JYes I believe they're crooks. They did verified my last four ss# and asked for the first 3 numbers. Don't give it to them. And don't give them any personal financial information, tell them to send it to the address they have. don't even give them your current address. I believe they want to scare you about an old debt and try to rob your bank account. Again, have them send documentation and hang up. No need to waste your time. I've gotten a couple calls to my work and by multiple people. Listen to recording and delete. No need to call them.

They wanted personal information about who she was married to and where she worked. My husband wouldn't tell them anything. The company named showed up unavailable on caller id, but they said they were Credit Control. The guy's name was Terry Cozart.

- EugeneThese disreputable scam artists average calling my house every day for a Tammy Robertson with a robo caller. Pressing "4" to tell them that they have the wrong number just intensified their frequency of calls.
I am keeping a calendar log so that I can use it when I go file a harassing communications complaint against the company, and ask for punitive damages from their continuing harassment.- Caller: Credit Control
