- Caller: 800 Service No name noted
- martines replies to M Pierzchalai have done all there is about it. But the one thing i can do is block the no, but then they move to another computer , saying another location, at least in my case. so My blocked numbers add up. i am tired of it and I have done all the right things. Do not call list, ect ect. Bitched to my uncaring phone company, cox.
- scam-busterYou can fill out an on-line complaint form at: http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm
- BBJust got this call on the house line (11:14 a.m.). Didn't know the number, so didn't answer. They left a VM, I'll check it later.
- Delaware 1They called today, and left a message.......".lower credit card rates". I don't need to lower rates, I never carry a balance!
Obviously DO NOT CALL means nothing to these shysters. All phone services can and should all give us the tools to combat these harassing calls.......but that would mean less revenue for the phone companies! They're not going to help us, unless we are willing to open our wallets again for "optional services"..............- Caller: Unknown

- JimbocousCalled my home, which is on federal do-not-call list. This is that same old credit card interest rate reduction scam, robodialer that tells you to press 1 to lower your interest rates, 2 to "be removed" (yeah, right, try double the calls, now that they know it's an answered number).
What number they call from is really irrelevant, as I get a call from this outfit several times per week, and it's never the same caller number, and seldom even in the same state. Sadly, at this point it's entirely legal to deliver a totally bogus calling number and calling name to the network (called ANI spoofing). Until this is rectified, and carriers are held accountable to ensure their customers are delivering only ANIs associated with their billing accounts, enforcement is impossible and complaints are useless. The technology to do this exists; the will does not.
Until we demand that our representatives act to eliminate ANI spoofing, the do-not-call list and restrictions on unwanted telemarketing are a joke, and the criminals who make their living this way are laughing at us.- Call type: Telemarketer
- WireAnother "card services" scam.
- Caller: card services
- RinaThey called me today and said:
"This is a second and final call to lower your credit card monthly payment" blah, blah, blah,
I just hung up. I don't have a credit card. THIS IS A BIG SCAM. We should report it to government.
I'm going to do it.- Caller: They didn't say any name of company
- Russ replies to Russ| 1 replyMarch 2012 Update: Well it appears mentioning that there is a number of folks here complaining about 1-877-444-2200 and passing on the details from my earlier posting here in detail to the GOV Do Not Call Registry - Complaint Line quieted down and/or eliminated calls from 1-877-444-2200.
Several weeks later a slightly different, but worded just about the same message comes in from 503-902-3477 (lookup and check that one out on this forum 800notes). I'm going to include that in a new message to the GOV Do Not Call Registry - Complaint Line at:
https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx?panel=2
Yes you can ignore the calls, and hang up which wont really do anything since its a robot that called you. Picking up and hanging up unfortunately acknowledges or reports to the phone system that someone at that location answered the phone prompting more calls. Listing the complaint here is good feed back for all of us. But as much as some of us would want to say that the Do Not Call Registry didn't work for them it's illegal activities by these venders and loop holes, and no word of filed complaints that cause them to get away with it. Try using the Gov Do Not Call Reg Complaint site listed above, Seems to have worked for me and enough complaints will not only stop them from calling you but then escalate it up to the Atterny Generals Office where much stiffer fines, penalties, and actions await.
Good Luck Everyone ! - Russ replies to RussCorrection: The new number appearing which I have seen now and posted earlier is *(503-902-8477) Lower Interest not 503-902-3477 sorry. You will find complaints on the new number here on this site as well.
- Sandy Bishopkeep caling to lower myinterest rate
- John R.My phone company's "No Solicitation" service intercepts these calls after one ring. It's a good service to have, but it still gets annoying when these scammers call nearly every day for over two years.
Call received 10:30 AM 3/29/12- Call type: Telemarketer
- report them! Please immediately report each and every one of these illegal robo scam calls that you receive to www.donotcall.gov.
You can gripe that it doesn't work, but they cannot do anything about it until and unless we report it!- Call type: Telemarketer
- Paul EverettThe guy running this scam is some cum stain loser who preys on people's gullibility.
- Old GrouchCredit card scam - lower interest rates. Almost the same recording as from several other numbers. My CID only said "Toll Free", with nothing else. I pressed "9" to get to a person, when she (in this case) answered, I said "Remove my number from your calling list". She hung up before I finished. The law says they have to remove you if you request it. But, as she hung up, they can claim they never heard my request.
The DNC list is not voluntary, it is the law. But, the FTC doesn't seem to do anything about it. Not enforced, so the scams go on.- Call type: Telemarketer
- John R.They called me again on 4/9/12 at 12:23 PM. As always, my no-solicitation service intercepted it.

- Leon replies to Hate SpammersSo annoying. The recording says this is your second and final notice to lower your interest rates. They have I bet said that 50 times in past year. I don't have a credit card and never have. I use a Visa check card which comes out of my bank account the instant it is used. Maybe they will give up sometime. Which I doubt.
♦Leon♦ - TiredofThisREPEATED phone calls from this scam company - Credit Card Services. Once asked which credit card they are with and they hung up. Same as others, Robocall saying this is your Last Chance to lower your interest rates. Tired of these peaks!!!
- thegoose replies to RussMy story is the same as yours. I'm not sure what they are expecting to gain by these continued calls to people who want nothing to do w/ them.
- the gooseThese people have been calling me for well over a year now. I have asked for my name to be removed from their list (they hung up on me) and I have pressed the option button to be removed from their list (I've done this more times than I can count). Message is always the same regarding lowering my credit card interest rate. I typically let the machine answer or if I answer, I hang up. The most annoying part is that they call when the kids are napping and they wake them up. More than anything, I wish the phone company had a reliable call blocking system.
