Looking for somebody

Left a message. She indicated that they were trying to locate and track someone with the same last name as me, but the person in question was not anybody I knew. They then began to talk about what the law allows them to do and that I need to call them back whether I could provide the whereabouts of the person indicated or not. Seemed sketchy given that they didn't give me any more information than a first name of the caller. No company name, no reason, no actual legal authority stated. Just a vague threat that if I didn't call back they had the legal power to contact all known contacts.

I received the same call today.  they told me if I do not call back that they will call all my reference's talk to them.  I do not know who this company is or what they want.  They also stated the same thing to me on the message about the law's and their rights.  this is not this first time I get calls like this and I don't know what to do to stop them

My understanding is this call is a scam. It has to do with people closing on their houses and the company receiving their information from the closing paperwork which is public

Rec'd  the same to go call. Attempting to locate blah blah blah, call us back whether you have information or not.....they have the legal right to contact all references. No company info provided.

These people call me saying I breach a contract and the knew where I worked and the last four numbers of my social. I ask the guy what is the name of the company I suppose to owe he said well let me finish I though that is how it goes. I said excuse me you calling me claiming I owe someone who is it that I owe he said good luck bye and hung up . They got to be a joke I wish he had not hung up but I am at work I had some words for him

Same as above - called my work cell yesterday and since it was toll free number, I answered it assuming it was a conference bridge. I am NOT calling you back whether or not I know the person. Get a REAL Job!

Same thing with me called my cell and my family cell ut is a scam.

Received a same call...looks to be a scam. Ignored the call after seeing this.

Tracing and location of someone

"Hello this Sarah. This message is regarding our location and tracing efforts for {person's name}. Dial 0 now to speak with a representative or call 877-448-4965. It is important that we speak with you in regards to their whereabouts. If we cannot verify this information through you, the law allows us to contact all references on file. If you are unable to provide any information please contact us regardless at 877-448-4965. Thank you." Also got exact same message from 877-448-4965
